Will we ever top this?

Will we ever top this?

Postby PeterParker » Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:25 pm

Just a thew minutes ago, on a local tv station, they aired the classical 6-1 in a show called: Classic Premier League games.

I watched it like it was live and i am more impressed than i was at that moment. How fucking good were we? I saw only one better humiliation in my life, Barcelona - Real 6-2 at Madrid.

City was fucking perfect that day, the best team in the world. What the hell did Bobby do to them? That was the last moment we were beyond briliant and from there we went down, even if we won the league.

Milner alongside Dave were MOTM, Richard was a rocket, Lescott was a wall. At that moment we would have beat the shit of a team with Messi and Tranny. What the hell happend? Maybe i am biased, but we were fucking perfect, just look at us. The name of the video speaks by himself.

The passing, the defence, the midfield, the tactics were absolutely out of this world.

The good news is most of those players are still with us - and we have a more balanced team now

Two words... David Silva. Mesmerising that day. When he played like that he was unstoppable. Everything went through him. No coincidence that his dip in forms has happened alongside ours as a whole

That day plus our title winning game against QPR are why our injury time goals will forever be scored in Mancini-time for me.

Watching the videos of: A: split screen of our comeback and victory with united on the pitch realizing what happened and B: the reaction of city fans at home vs united fans at home is always a good time

how good was balo in this game? his link up play and possession of the ball was excellent.

scored 2, got evans sent off, excellent lay off for aguero's third and he pissed off every single united player who laid eyes on him, had them on tilt the whole game. If we could have had that balo every week ... mancini would probably still have a job, because we would not have stopped winning.

always good to add a micah interview on to the end as well:

It was also the day that all premier league teams realised how good we were or could and changed the way they went about playing us.

Thanks for posting this it was great to see it again. I think this is as well as we could play then and with Silva reinvigorated plus the new signings we should be even better. If the count can work out a way to play against teams parking the bus we will all be in blue heaven.

If he showed that much application and desire week in and week out he would be easily one of the very best in the world but just never did for us. Shame really.

That game and the season as a whole will never be topped in my opinion. Physically draining, and that wasn't just the players.

I think we had a huge hangover from that both players and fans alike. I really got no enjoyment from last season. Feel a lot better and excited this time round. I think good times are just around the corner again.

Me too mate, I felt emotionally drained for the first 3 months of the season and found it really hard to get excited for the games. It looked like the players felt the same.

Could be one of the very best in the world. I think however he will continue to let himself down as he is too unpredictable. It was the right thing to do selling him as he was too high maintenance and we need players who we can rely on. If Aguero stays fit and Silva and Ya ya are on form this year I can see us being unstoppable.

I will never refrain from 'Buzzing' when we beat them, never.

Same here. How can you move on from 'Buzzing' about beating the Rags. If we beat them twice a year every year from now until the day I die I will be Buzzing everytime we do it.
