How does he become a tax burden in monaco? Can they buy and sell in rhe same window?

If this is true they wont get anywhere near what they paid for him.

I don't either - almost everything on Twitter is crap. I like there being a Twitter thread because it contains the crap. We were getting a situation where too many people were starting threads with 'According to Twitter...' without quoting an actual source.

At least now I know I can read almost all threads without there being some crap Twitter 'story'.

Spanish publication Marca claim that Monaco may have to sell star striker Radamel Falcao just three months after signing him from Atletico Madrid, with rumours that Ligue 1 will force the club's players to pay the top tax rate of 75% like the rest of France.

There have been disagreements between Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev and the president of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), Frederic Thiriez, for much of the summer, though Monaco have continued to bring in big names in the belief that they could attract them with the promise of them paying no income tax.

However, the club's owner now faces punishment of an £85million fine, as it is deemed unfair that Monaco can continue to have this advantage over other members of the French league who adhere to regular tax laws.

Rybolovlev is unlikely to want to pay the fine, and may instead face departures of several unhappy players, with Falcao the most notable and in-demand player in their squad.

The Colombian had been coveted by some of Europe's biggest clubs all summer, and rumours of his exit are likely to attract offers from the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea once again.

There is no rule against a player moving twice in the same transfer window, though it is extremely uncommon and would represent a big embarrassment for Monaco and Rybolovlev.

who would care if he's 29 or 27 tho really? 29 or 25 maybe. i'd still sign him to a 4 year contract either way, so...he is what he is, and he's fantastic. 4 years left at the top level i think, so he's worth whatever the market bears regardless of his age.

if we hadn't signed up JoJo then he might have been interesting to consider. I just hope he doesn't end up at Chelsea ffs.

Well it is a big deal if a club is paying £40 million for him. And I personally wouldn't want us to pay £40 million for a 29 year old. Anyway it's only rumours so it's irrelevant really. He is a fantastic player but we don't need him now.

Let me guess, Marca said that the only club ALLOWED to buy him by FIFA, UEFA, aliens, etc is Real Madrid?

I did read something about this whole tax thing before they even signed Falcao so maybe it is true as it is extremely unfair
