I think I would like an explanation at this. I don't see the contradiction. It's like saying that you can't enjoy breakfast if you want to have a good dinner later in the day. Brinner. It's great.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

As i said above, Mancini won the game by using Milner instead of Nasri. It was a huge surprise at that moment, we all expected he would play, but instead we saw Milner and my word, what a performance he had.

Someone told me that Mancini made a huge error there, because we peaked in that early month, not in feb or march. We started at full force with that 5-1, 6-1, etc.

I put that moment with Yaya against the rags in the semi. We really arrived that day IMO. I think I enjoyed the Yaya goal more personally as the tension at the QPR game can not be put into words. Probably the most horric few minutes at a football match ending in total euphoria.

That's why it was so great, to think this was the easiest game we had out of the run in, that winning the title should have been a formality and that City did it in such a way that only City can.

If it has to be compared with a moment, Wembley99 is up there, but as I saw it a month after it was played it was not the same for me.

The 4-3 victory, away to Newcastle in the final game of the 1967/68 campaign, wasn't too bad either, particularly as in March of that season, in a mid-week evening game, we'd gone to the Swamp and stuffed them 3-1 in their own back yard.

I think we had a huge hangover from that both players and fans alike. I really got no enjoyment from last season. Feel a lot better and excited this time round. I think good times are just around the corner again.

Well put sis.

I think you hit the nail on the head there.

It could simply be that we were shit last season.

Well it could have been a post title hangover, but I think it was more to do with us getting found out and us not resolving that problem. It's been done to death here but i too, am loads excited this season.

I would say no but I have a feeling that there is more to come.

That game and the season in general personified everything that had been put in place and it seemed that the all the hurt and doubt over the last 40yrs came to fruition.

I really never imagined it could happen but feel totally assured that our destiny is in the hands of the best thing that has ever happened to our club.

Yes we were excellent that day. But remember that the scoreline was one of those things. A freak of nature. An outlier. 9 times out of 10 it would never have 6.1
Should've been 10

Just tell her this was one in a lifetime and she isn't, know her place.

I'll never forget the atmosphere when Mackie scored. The strangest feeling around the ground. It wasn't anger, frustration or even disappointment. The whole stadium was just shocked in pure disbelief in what was happening.
I remember thinking about how the media would never let this go, about how we bottled our best ever chance of winning the PL and how I wouldn't be able to pick up a newspaper or watch the news for at least 3 months.
Made it all the sweeter.
