It's nice to see him making his way down the divisions, less we see of that wanker the better.

That's the worrying thing though. They weren't good and they still managed to win 4-1 away from home. They weren't good last season though and they beat us by about 15 points. That was the most annoying thing last season, I can take losing the title to a great side but they're certainly not a great side.
It was a typical Rags performance in every aspect.
Do you think Swansea will play that open against us at the Liberty?
I think that some were getting a bit too excited about their change in manager. I'm not saying they will win the league but some were talking about them dropping out the top 4. They've been there or there abouts for the last 20 years or so.
Top two will be us and them. Not worried about Chelsea at all this season, they'll start strongly with some big wins and then drop off the pace dramatically and sack Mourinho after about 15 games..

It was 11 points, the Rag propoganda is strong.

I see it a bit differently with regard to the main contenders and we'll see in a month or so how the ground lies. Chelsea will definately be in it for me and my worry isn't how good the Rags and Chavs will be but how we do with a different system. We've played the Mancini way for a few seasons now and change is not always seemless. It may take a while for us to settle in but I still expect us to be winning games, regardless of the system.

No Swansea won't play that open against us, they won't dare, but they thought they could vs Utd. Doesn't that tell you something ?

Don't think the rag shit will be flushed this easily. Time for the City players to step up and wipe them out at the Etihad.

Also Ashley Williams is over-rated. Would be amusing if Arsenal panic and buy him for 20 million. And they get eliminated from the CL.

I have never noticed anything special about him, but tbf, the bloke next to him put in a performance of such staggering ineptitude that I doubt any defender in the history of football could have come out of it looking good.

And that other Spanish turd in defensive midfield was as much use as an ashtray in a Formula One car.

It does, but you can bet your left arm we'll have a far tougher game at the Liberty then the Rags did.
But if teams continue to play open v the Rags they'll get picked off, just like Swansea did yesterday.

That's not the words I would have chosen but yes, in a nutshell. I mean when RvP scored the third goal he was JOGGING behind him, despite the fact that the united players were running with the ball towards his own net and not having to face that many players in defence. Cañas. One wonders what Laudrup told him before the game.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Looking at that goal again it was a quality finish, but it came from a hopeful punt into the box, how the hell did the three Swansea players not manage to clear that is a joke.

A real quality team would have possibly stuck 6 or 7 past Swansea yesterday they were that poor at the back . Credit to them for being so open against the Rags which tells a story ....... have teams now decided to take them on now taggert has fucked off ? Captian caveman in Swansea,s midfield (Canas) didnt help their cause either , he was abysmal to say the least . Rags also looked suspect at the back especially when Bony came on . Van Pussy apart rags looked average to me ....... even Wellbeck shone so that tells a story in itself !
Not really here

It was the same last season, nowt to do with the old cunt. Their midfield gets overrun/dominated easily, which lures their opponents in. They have probably the best (read: most effective) transition in the league tho & will punish even the better defences (read: us last season).

I wish some of the shitter teams would resort back to bus parking v them as most of their wingers & forwards (Valencia, Welbeck & the like) are rather useless in tight space.

Makes you wonder if it isn't a tactic doesn't it? Instill confidence, I.E. slight arrogance, in the other team and then hit them on the counter. It just seems to simple to work though.

Anyone else watching Crystal Palace (I love that name!) v Tottenham? Interesting game, as in not so fun perhaps but pretty open. Crystal Palace are playing with a good portion of audacity and Spurs don't have Bale to punish them. Also, Rose is playing instead of that guy with the hair. Like it. For many reasons.

Crystal Palace are not doing so bad, esp the left back (Moxey - I guess)

Applying all this tactical alchemy to the rags performance yesterday is well over the top imo.

The goals they scored plus the 4 or 5 easy chances they missed v Swansea mostly came from straightforward obvious football, not sucker punches or subterfuge. Three good finishes in there for sure, but If you let a straight hopeful ball into the box & a medium paced hopeful cross totally bamboozle your defence, you are fucked. The cross for Utd's 2nd wasn't the kind of fizzing difficult to stop ball we have sometimes seen from Giggs or Valencia, it was the same kind of crap Zabaleta serves up which teams routinely head away.
