fcuking love the news from karagrandy bet on Celtic to lose ! but to win i need at least 3 from 5 with the following
Karagrandy to win
PSV to beat AC
Lyon to be leading at H-T
Plzen/Maribor &Pacos/Zenit st peter.to be drawing at H-T

thats a bad result for Celtic i reckon but i don't give a fcuk as i hate the twats

With Celtic being beaten 2-0, godforsaken have a good chance of going through to the group stage. What do you bet we draw them?

This is a fantastic challenge for the lad. If he can genuinely do a decent defending job against Milan (that's proper actual coalface defending, having an effect on the game & playing a part in stopping them, not just standing about looking cool whilst they put five in), then he is a genuine candidate for our squad next season. Milan's strikeforce would give our cbs problems.

If he can't do that but still shows promise, then he may be a candidate for the season after.

Vey interesting this.

Not made hardly any tackles or won any headers in 90 mins though & missed a sitter. Some on here would probably have him straight in our team & drop Lescott, but in reality, he's nowhere near it. Monitor him for the season & see how he does but on the strength of tonight, I think he's in the best place right now. He's no use whatsoever to us until he improves by about 100% which is unlikely to happen in one season. If it does, then fantastic but if it doesn't; leave him there next season & maybe even the season after that.

If he doesn't improve enough, offer him as part of a deal for Zakaria Bakkali.

I saw him covering for his partner a few times, including a last ditch clearance in the box. I certainly didn't see anything to crucify him with.

Thought the same to be honest. He clearly has potential, but on that performance he only seems to have the potential to be a slightly poor man's Nastasic, who isn't perfect either.

Tonight he ball-watched so much. Some really basic defensive attributes were missing throughout his game. He went to the ball repeatedly and left his man to run off him so easily, and he kinda coasted through without ever taking responsibility. I'm not gonna write him off as i think he has all the raw talent in place, but there is a long long way to go and he isn't anywhere near the level of a top quality centre-back.....yet. Fingers crossed.

He'd probably make a better deep-lying midfielder to be honest as he's very classy on the ball.

Missed a sitter? Thats very harsh, any top striker would have been lucky to anticipate that.

I think some of you are being a bit harsh. The bloke's 18 years old & playing his first proper season next to an adventurous 19 year old left back & a 21 year old centre back who, during his time in Hamburg, made Savic look like Paolo Maldini.

Made hardly any tackles? What was there to tackle with Milan playing on the break mostly. He fouled Balo a couple of times, looked a bit lost for El Shaarawy's goal, covered a couple of times for Bruma (including the TACKLE mentioned by Dameerto), lost some headers in no man's land, won the odd one.

Missed a sitter? Yeah, that'll be the one thing we'll be looking at in our 18 year old centre back. Fuckin dud, we should release him straight away.

I would have buried it, pissed. It was a medium paced cross, right on his head, 6 yards out, unmarked.

All of your post is a complete over reaction.

There is nothing harsh about it at all. He isn't anywhere near good enough for the Premier League at this stage & is better off learning against proper teams than in our reserves. He isn't able to read the game well enough yet to get himself into positions where he can have an impact. He may learn it, he may not.

In time we'll see what he is made of.

If you think that's harsh & you can tell he's brilliant now & good enough for City, then you should be working for the club, because you are a football genius & could make a fortune picking out young players.

I'd say covering for his partner was getting into a position where he could have an impact.
