Arsenal should win this at a canter, but I would have said the same of Villa at the weekend.

Fuck me, am I losing it. I missed the first few minutes and Smith's just said that Arsenal should be well in front by this stage. I haven't seen anything to suggest they should be well ahead, have you?

And Wilshire you shit-bag! Smith's just said that he stood on your toe when the reality was you lost the fucking ball. Man-up dick-splash.

I see Chelsea have taken the lead with an own goal.

Koscielny gets a face full of boot. Claret shown and he exits the pitch with Jenkinson taking his place.

Ouch.

I was pretty sure he'd have to come off - his head shot back from the blow. I don't like seeing players injured but the more threadbare their squad becomes the more the lie of their 'money to spend' huge transfer fund becomes exposed.

I was just about to ask. Looking at the teletext on the Beeb Chelsea seem to be content with playing tha ball around with no real puropse; possession game first and foremost. Bit like Arsenal really.

Wish I'd put Benteke in my dream team.

Chelsea started really bright and got the early goal but since then they've not really threatened too much. Neither have Villa tbh, their goal was pretty much their only good chance. Hope Villa can nick something here. Very well taken goal by Benteke. Classy, classy player.

Looking at the Arsenal squad I think they are going to really struggle this season unless they take drastic action. Tonights game has them playing their first choice players and there isn't much strength in depth after that. Their second game already with 2 more to come in the next 7 days and they're losing players left, right and centre.

I'm sure there'll be happy with a draw tonight and take them back to Highbury but with their current problems, there's no guarantee of a win.

Ooops, sorry. Old habits and all that.

...back to the Library... ;-)

Edit: Thinking od switching to the Chelsea v Villa game but don't want to put the mockers on it.

The Arse game is just that, Arse. Not the same watching a game wanting the English team to lose, it's like watching the Rags.

Bugger! Well worked goal put across the face by Walcott which Gibbs couldn't miss.

1-0 the Arse.

Maybe because they have a new manager, but chelsea look like a mix of us and the rags last season. Lots of possession, but little idea of what to do around the box, so they just lump in a ton of crosses.

I know they are a young team and will improve as the season goes on but I'm not overly impressed at all.

Ramsey waltz' through to the edge of the D and hits a low hard shot across the keeper. The keeper gets a hand and should've kept it out.

2-0 the Arse.

good ball by Benteke and Villa almost score again

Already said it but Delph must have had a great off-season or gotten on the roids.... Looks 2x as good as last time I saw him. Very quick, good touch, and smart decisions on the ball

He looked good against Arsenal and really drove Villa forward.

PS. Are they playing tonight because of the Euro Super Cup?
