That would be a mistake imho. We need barry to cover our cb fiasco I think.

I would completely agree but I'm concerned about his mental attitude. He didn't look right in his last game to me.

"his last game" meaning his preseason runout? i'm not sure i weight that higher than years of dedicated, professional service. He shit the bed at the end of last season on more than one occasion for sure, but i'm not sure that we've got a person that can do his role like he can do his role. I'd rather have Ant London running around out there than Garcia right now.

cheers

Barry doesn't normally 'do' less than 100%. Imo, he was less than 100% in the last couple of games after looking sharper than anyone else in the first one.

I think Gazbaz is free to leave, must come as a shock to a top guy and model pro. To see him at Everton might play into the rags hands with Fellani off to the scum, been away what else is going on.

Soton could be about to sign Osvaldo. If he stays calm and out of trouble he could really help them

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says Gareth Barry wants to stay, but will understand if he alters that stance.

The England international has been strongly linked with a move to Everton, with the Toffees looking to land the midfielder on a season-long loan.

Barry has entered the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium and faces fierce competition for places.

City have invested heavily over the summer, with £30million spent on Ferdinando - a man who will be looking to fill the same position as Barry.

He will, however, not be standing in the 32-year-old's way if he decides he needs to look elsewhere for regular first team football.

Pellegrini said ahead of City's opening fixture of the 2013/14 Premier League season against Newcastle United on Monday: "In the position of Gareth we have also (Jack) Rodwell, (Javi) Garcia, Fernandinho and Yaya Toure.

"I spoke with Gareth. He wants to stay here and he does not have any problems staying here to fight for his position like any other player in the squad.

"If he wants to go because he has better options, it depends on what he wants to do."
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

I wouldn't let Barry go to Everton for the sole reason that it helps them to an extent do without Fellatio

Am I actually missing something here? Media all saying 'Bale money already spent' But he hasn't actually gone yet? Trying to get my head round this

(A) will this trigger the merry go round assuming he is RM bound, as in tranny back to rags, granny shagger to chelski etc?

(B) bale stays and the spuds have just more or less got their best ever crack at a top a place with the new signings along with keeping him and Levy for once has played a blinder that sees the weakness in their north London rivals by doing so....

Not sure which scenario is best? (A) potentially means the rags are better off and chelski could also benefit for a season or so (wooney would have a point to make..)

(B) spuds could really become a force which in fucking the gooners over royally I don't mind as as such but the spuds season ticket holder who sits opposite me at work would become unbearable lol

It's (C) Levy spends the cash before the deal is closed to keep the fees down. Bale goes to Madrid. Cristina stays. Someone else leaves (Ozil/Di Maria). Scum get Fellaini &/or Baines.

Spurs were already going to spend regardless of what happened with Bale. But I think they agreed to sell Bale awhile ago but said they needed to bring in replacements first. If they get Willian and Lamela I think that's Bale $$

Spurs have added massively to their wage bill buying 6 good players on about 100k each and selling bale on 100k seems a gamble but some good signings and I can see them being top no problem if they gel.

top of the league or top quality? because I can't see them being better than us or chelsea no matter how well they gel. Defense just isn't there.

Had considered that, lets just hope it is really 11th hour stuff, but would tranaldos ego cope with bale coming in at RM, surely his agent is wheeling and dealing just in case?

Either way round with or without bale, spuds have done better transfers than others, excepting ourselves that is.

If bale does go, coupled with the spending they have already done they should still be able to afford some defence, it will take them a while to start achieving but seriously can see them top 4 which I guess is their immediate goal, they've been knocking on the door for a couple of seasons already. Hopefully and finally at the expense of the gooners (if not the rags, yeah, yeah wishful thinking).

No way are the likes of Chadli, Capoue & Paulinho on 100k a week. Soldado & Willian most likely. Lamela maybe, but I doubt it.

Agree and depending on how the rags do in this last week of the transfer market and under moyes, I can see spurs piping them for 3rd place.

Personally I doubt it,(forgetting the BS rumours) can't see chelski letting Mata go, wasn't he their player of the year last season?
