United seem resigned to Rooney leaving but they don't want to send him to Chelsea but if they could get Mata back--who would drastically improve their biggest weakness--then they might be more inclined.

Worryingly it could be the make weight for this to happen, crazy from Chelsea as I really rate Mata as one of their better players and agree that he's better than Shrek in the position they seem to play him in.

I think Chelsea could do far better than Shrek but have left it late or refused to pay the crazy prices re: Falcao etc

I think eriksen will be good value even at £12m - spurs will have lots of quality options in midfield.
