I agree and just cannot fathom why Real would pay such a price, even their president said they'd been priced out. I wonder if all the hype in the media has pushed Bale's value to far to the right and they are being more realistic with their bid; Levy them tries to force their hand with 'Other Bids' leak.

I think the price was agreed a while back on the provision Spurs makes one or two signings before the announcement (leading to those shirts being on sale with Bale's name on them when it looked like Willian was a certainty for Spurs just before Chelsea hijacked him)

They've spent 50 odd mill & brought in 20 odd. So they'll be about 50/ 60 mil in profit once Bale goes.
