I can't but help think we have missed a trick with Erikson.

The kid has been available all summer.. Every club and there dog knew they could get him for peanuts yet all the big guns passed on him... why? Weak and slow... allegedly.

Reading up him, most scouts have advised clubs that physically he is weak and has very little pace so his chances of success in more physical leagues than Holland is low.

He is a good player ball to feet but certainly is a risk. Dortmund, Arsenal... even Liverpool, to name but a few, passed up on him which suggests that something isn't right with him.

Certainly represents a gamble from Spurs, if he proves the doubters wrong they will spin a profit.. if he flops he could be one of those that walks for nothing.

More importantly, should he go to spurs what happens to Holtby? He is a fantastic player... bringing in Erikson suggests his days are numbered which is very surprising. All very odd from Spurs really.

Well Kagawa looks far too lightweight for this league... but Holtby looks like he could cut it.

Don't see Erikson being any kind of upgrade on Holtby. Very odd transfer really if it pushes Holtby out.

Also, Barry is a wanted man, which could lead to another signing there. I'm less confident with this one as we have quite a few options in the middle.

I watch Demichelis in Bayern but that was when he play DM there so i don't know much of him either like CB i have fear that we buying one more Garcia and what we desperate need is some strong but also quick CB who can close up when we play high line, or we will have to play with one player in front of Defense because Yaya and Fernadhino without Kompany are just not enough. If Cardiff can score us 3 then we have big problem.

So hes nothing special at all to give that kind of money? Because for 40m£ is insane money for CB. PSG pay 40 mill for Thiago Silva from AC and i think it was 40 mill Euros .
