4 FC Copenhagen, Napoli, Anderlecht, Celtic, Steaua Bucuresti, Viktoria Plzen, Real Sociedad, Vienna!

Take your pick Vienna is worst team .

Pot two is a very strong group of teams.

Anyway you look at it, we will be against some amazing teams that will provide us with more champions league excitement and dread.

I would take
Benfica or Porto
CSKA or Milan even Schalke
City
Viena or Celtic
but with our luck we will get
Bayern M. or Bacelona
PSG or Juventus
City
Napoli or Real S.
Now i will try to guess what we will get
Real Madrid
CSKA
City
Victoria Pilzen

I miss just 1 pot if we don't go from this group then i don't know

If we dont get out of this group we should be banned from the CL.

Hopefully the first and last game will be against Munich.

What do people know about CSKA Moscow? I've seen very little of them apart from a few CL games.
What are they like as a team? Who are there quality players to watch?
I could google them, but would prefer info from one of ours.

I have a russian coworker who is mad after Zenit. He said this: Dzagoev is quite good. But he's Ossetian guy, he's very uncontrolable, all the time acquite stupid red cards

I remember they had Honda, but he is in that Ac Milan saga. We should keep an eye on Doumbia, the striker and Tosic, the ex-rag player.

Not saying its a fix but why are we away for the first and last group game and also in Czech in midweek before the derby. The groups weren't bad enough to us so let's fuck em over some other way

I downloaded the games at the start of the season and added all the CL/cup games to see if there would be any factors that would affect us and his was one of them. There's a few games where we've got a hard time due to the journey's wheras the Rags have got quite easy matches. Contrast that to Arsenal and we haven't got it that bad comparing. We're on the road and, for me, it's a start to taking somebody elses place. The Arse will have to work hard to get their place back.

Those fixtures are fucking bollocks.

The last game was obviously supposed to be sticky Vicky at home but its been swapped so we can go away the bayern instead in the hope we will need a win to get through. Fucking bent cunts. I hope it fucks up and the group is settled in November.

This isn”t a new rule, for ages now, the second game is the last one in the group. I think since the Champions League began.

I can see some possitives in these fixtures, the perceived easier game against Plzen being our first game should help ease us into it. Hopefully Bayern will have some complacency about us and playing them at ours first would give us an advantage. We play CSKA in Moscow before it gets too deep into winter.

We need to get 6 points off Plzen and aim for 4 off CSKA so anything from Bayern is a bonus.

Would have liked to have been in Porto's group but i think we've dodged two bullets, at least we know what to expect with Bayern.

The scum have the easy ride yet again so i don't really know why people get uptight about it - its as dependable as the sun rising and setting.

Agree with the Arse having the tougher group for a seeded team.

Edit to ask: Does anyone know of City pubs in Reading as I'll be down there for the Plzen and CSKA away games.?

Have a check in one of the Cardiff threads - someone posting in there lives in Reading. I used to watch in one of the pubs on Cemetery Junction most matchdays. No other City fans, but a fair few well-informed neutrals who supported lower-league clubs (that was pre-takeover, mind). In the centre, there was a pub that was good for football on Gun Street, too (2006-07).
