There's no workmanship, they are happy to stand off and let Hull move it about at leisure... Need Milner on to hustle and press

Rodwell isn't on the bench, and you have 12 players there.

No Rodwell or Barry on the bench to help protect the defence. Fernandinho/Aguero off, Milner/Jovetic in...or something. Who knows, dismal system, dismal dismal game.

Our midfield is non existent- we used to be such a dominant force in the middle. Will be interesting to see how Manuel changes things.. if he changes the shape and adds another CM/DM or simply goes like for like with subs.

NBCSports just lost any credibility they may have had. the fucker at the half said Kolarov doesnt want to go forward as much as Clichy. time to watch the half on mute.

Why did we sign Navas if we're going to play him in the middle? Stay out on the wing ffs.

Think Hull would be one up now if it hadn't have been for Fidel and Goataldo leaning against Joe's goal blocking Hulls view.

Can see tommy the tiger sealing this with a late pen!

Well to focus on the positives, Hart did great in the 1on1 situation to steer the Hull-player into a terrible position for a shot.

That is all.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I'm really not understanding this. Last week we saw the problems with the system and could have sorted it ourselves. Cardiff had many chances in the first half because of the high-line we played yet we are still seeing the same today.

In defence, we've basically made 3 changes with the left-hand side, who've not had any contact as yet, coming into the new system and being expected to fit straight in. Couple that with moving Lescott into a position that he's not the best at then it's a recipe for disaster as he's having to think for the 2 to the left of him.

But where's the screen, where's the cover for the near full defensive system? Fuck me, everybody loves attacking football but it starts from the back. At the moment I feel as though we are back in the Hughes era and I'm not sure if I want to punch Pellers or fucking Tinkerbell.

Sort it the fuck out! I've not seen shit like that for a very long time and unless we get our shit together I'm not too confident for the rest of the match, nevermind the future!

Oh. I've had a shocker. Garcia as the midfield option :(

Well, Milner then.

And take out one of Navas or Silva.

Sat here watching the game at stadium and from the way I see it the problem is, yaya is too deep and fernandinho is not a forward thinking midfielder. We need a proper holding midfielder to free up yaya to move forward.
Defence to slow and always. Look like a blunder waiting to happen!!!

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

I thought Sergio did quite well against a dogged backline but what is concerning is the lack of ...........

And, to have such a high backline you need to put pressure on the oppostion from the start, consequently and not arbitrarily. We commit a lot of players in a high pressing game but not enough to make it solid. So basically, we're leaving a lot of our players high up the pitch doing unsupported defensive work and then Hull find the hole or lump it and our backline gets to deal with a lot óf players without covering midfield, especially our wingers.
