Some quotes from The Count saying Barry "important"...don't know how old they are but really fucking hope we do not let him go anywhere.

Will be a Bellamy-esque error to let him go. He still has useful miles in his engine for City

He will be good to have around camp to show the newbies the ropes. I can't see him playing consecutive games or starting many IMO.

I love Barry and I am happy he will be staying, but we need to stick with our new players and give them the experience they need to become a talent in the PL.

Barry will be perfect to teach the ways of the PL and lead by example in the games he does play.

I definitely don't want to see him go right now.

He can be used as de jong was in our title winning season. Pushing yaya or ferd further forward when plan b needed

I agree. I don't want to see him go next season either. I would like to see Barry with a role at our club once he hangs up his boots.

This season he will do a job holding whilst our many creative players push forward. Plus, he will add some discipline to the defence.

Why not try the pair of them, plus either Barry or Rodwell & 3 others ahead, & see if it actually suits us better than the current plan 'A' ?

As Pellegreni said yesterday after the international break is over we will have eight games a month up until the xmas period. I am sure we will see more of Barry after the break. I'm not his biggest fan but he could still be a useful squad player. I would not mind seeing him against Stoke.

I think you're right that our current plan isn't working as well as we hoped. I can't see us being much worse than what we are.

In fact, the only time I have seen us this bad at the back, is when we played with 3.
