For some reason, the more thought I give this, the more I think he'll drop/rest Navas too and play Nasri on the right and Milner on the left. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this, actually:

-----------------------------Hart

Zabs-----------Nasty-------------Lezzer----------Kolarov

----------------Fern--------------Yaya

Nasri-----------------------------------------------Milner

----------------Jovetic

-----------------------------Negredo

I like a 4-3-3 for this one.

Hart
Zabs, Nasty, Lescott, Clichy
Milner, Yaya, Fred
Navas, Negredo, Aguero

Push Yaya upfield, Milner and Fred to clog up the midfield and Aguero and Navas pushing in from wide.

Zabs and Clichy to spend most of their time STAYING THE FUCK BACK.

Slim, I think Pellers will hoping that Zabs and Clichy stay the fuck forward if he plays the high-line pressing system we've seen so far - where undisciplined fullbacks staying too far back have cost us goals and points already.
Push Yaya upfield with Aguero and Navas pushing in up top with Negredo and with Zabs and Clichy staying the fuck back and we're so stretched that we're wide open for a tonking so, IMO, I can't see that combo being employed.
Fascinated to see how we do set up though!
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

David Silva is likely to miss the start of Manchester City's latest Champions League campaign next week.

City's playmaker damaged a thigh muscle while away on international duty with Spain and has been ruled out of this weekend's trip to Stoke.

And next Sunday's derby game against Manchester United is a more realistic target than the midweek trip to Plzen in the Czech Republic.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini said: "We will see next week what happened with him. We hope he can be, not sure - we will try for the derby."

Captain Vincent Kompany (groin) is rested this weekend but should travel to Europe as City begin their attempt to get out of the competition's group stage for the first time.

Pellegrini said: "Kompany is okay but I think it is a big risk for him to play three matches in one week. He needs two or three more days to be 100%."
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

My predictions are usually shite but this was quite prescient. Jovetic, Negredo, Milner and Nasri all in.

Just García (for Lescott) and Rodwell (for Fernandinho) missing.

you've got to love Milner, even willing to burn his retinas to keep the ball in play.

There's a rumour going around on other forums that suggests that David Silva wasn't on the plane to Plzen with the rest of the match squad. If true, and he's not even fit enough to travel with the lads, then it's not good news for the derby.
Can anyone confirm or squash the rumour / does anyone have an update on his recovery?

According to Radio Manchester, who I presume we're on the plane, he didn't travel. Neither did Richards or Clichy.

I suppose that they're the lame, the sick and the lazy as my old sports master used to say. Not promising news though what with the run of games we have on the immediate horizon. I'm just hoping it's a cunning plan and that taggarts house-elf will be freaked out to see their names in our starting line-up. . . not going to happen though is it?

If Kompany is back and Zabs stays fit, we can live without Richards.

Clichy is a worry, as I don't rate Kolarov at all.

Silva will be a miss, but we can't be so reliant on one player. Nasri needs to step up or Jovetic could play out there, as his record suggests he's not an out and out striker. Or, please god, we could push Yaya forward and give someone else the defensive duties.

The loss of all three right footed centre halves is unfortunate, but you can't spend what we have over the last few years and then this summer and then complain if one player is unavailable. Unless it was Messi.

No point taking them and risking there injury if they are close to return. I imagine they will train at the club ready for Sunday.

We should have enough on that plane to win tomorrow.

I think Jimmy Jaws could act very well as a sweep/ defensive midfield, allowing Yaya and Ferdi a bit more freedom to advance forward, but have that extra body in the midfield have just been desperately missing!
