4 games in......

Postby city9_4eva » Sat Sep 14, 2013 4:35 pm

Everyone Calm the fuck down!! We are more than often average away from home, it's the same every year, especially at stoke, Everton, and Sunderland! However it was always going to take a few games to get used to manuel. I'm not worried yet. The rags look average at the moment as well. I for one am buzzing for next week!! And firstly for mid week!! We've kept 3 clean sheets out of 4 but people slagging the defence off? Yes Garcia is shit! Yes we need kompany back and fit!
Newcastle at home... awesome performance!
Cardiff away... expecting it to be honest with the hostile crowd and their first game back in prem, happens every year a promoted club wins against a top club at home early on.
Hull at home: a boring 2-0 win
And today... well we when have we ever played well atstoke in recent years?

Come on blues! KEEP THE FAITH!!

Newcastle - our ladies team would have beat them that night, but yes, it was a good performance

Cardiff - you were expecting a hard game, but it appeared the players weren't

Hull - lucky 2-0 win. If they'd had a decent striker, they'd have been at least one up before we scored

Played well at Stoke? - how about last season in the cup

Agree we need Kompany back, but he misses several games a season through injury and we now only have one right footed centre half as cover - Richards, the man Mancini said was made of glass. In a panic, we've also brought in someone slower than Garcia who managed to get injured before playing a game.

The things we were crying out for last season have been fixed - pace on the wing and someone with some aggression up front. So why do we look worse?

if anyone has watched us in the last three games and not been worried they probably sleep easily when the misses comes home from bingo at 2 am and spends half an hour in the shower before trying to surreptitiously climb into bed without drawing attention to the bruises on her bum

We look worse because of one thing. Toure. I've said it many times but I think he is killing us and having to apparently name him first on the team sheet cripples us. He's putting in absolutely zero fucking effort for me, and the way teams are bypassing him once he's turned back to his own goal is a joke.

Maybe it's the manger telling him what role he wants him to play, but he isn't doing it very well and our centre backs are getting no protection. He's also not distributing very well from the back except the short passes sideways. He is clearly being used as the link between defence and attack but he slows the shit out of the game. Receives the ball and immediately looks for the simple pass rather than see if there is a space he could attack therefore drawing a player in before making the pass. I don't want him to overcommit, but he has to commit someone else they have the numbers on us. Most of today we had a back 5 he was so deep.

Think of the role he's doing and the sort of tackles Nigel used to put in. Toure isn't doing this which is why we are so exposed. He really should be bossing the midfield better than he is.

It is not the results thus far I am worried about, tbh after 4 games I cant believe we have 3 clean sheets and 7 points.

But those saying wind your necks in, calm down etc, are basing their optimism on what ?.

We sacked Mancini for finishing second and because some soft cunt players did not like being shouted at after consistently playing poorly. There was not that much wrong with the side that could not have been remedied by getting rid of the soft twats and signing Mancini players, but nooooooooooo we sack the manager for the mard arses and bring in a really nice guy who will tell them all how great they are every fucking day.

Well fuck me it is working so far, we look like a bag of shite,3 clean sheets has more to do with some dreadful misses by the opposition. some of these players struggled to get back in Mancini defensive system, now they have to play attacking football and get back to defend quickly, how many have been arsed to do it properly ?,even worse players like Kolarev and Garcia are back in the fold,Fernandinho reminds me off Gelson Fernandez,Ya Ya Toure looks totally shot wtf has happened to him, our midfield is now non existent, we get rid off Barry I mean wtf ? the best passer in our side.

I want to be optimistic I really do, but I fear the worst based on how shit we have been playing against some poor sides. Our manager thinks we played well today, that is scary shit.

Not it's perfect because then the two you have hiding have a chance to make their escape. Plus if you are doing it right you have a third women following her and make sure that she is obvious so your wife knows she is being followed and then she really does go to bingo. She has to shower because she smells like cigarette smoke and she knows how much you hate the smell of that. Well at least in our casinos here because they are on Native American reservations and its the only public place you can smoke.

I think everything is down to our defensive liabilities at present.

I just don't believe the team have the confidence in the defence and as a result don't push on like we normally would.

I honestly believe that normal service will resume once Captain Kompany returns to the fold.

On another note, we looked far more creative once Aguero & Jesus came on. Their defence backed off whenever they had the ball, but I understand that they can't play every game
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

Spot on.
However the lazy cunt has the stats to get away with with his attitude.
And no doubt it is in his contract that he cannot be dropped.
The boss will have to get us used to playing with 10 men as Yaya is so useless.
Seems strange such a lazy cunt wants to play every game you would think he would be happy on the bench getting his money for doing fuckall.

That's exactly what I imagined you to look like.

Maybe if you just put your point across instead of constantly trying a wind up you could be on a better road.

Ah stats. They definitely don't lie. Not sure I've seen the specific stats that show we're doing a good job of protecting our back 4. We've been too exposed at the back and have lost the midfield v both Hull and Stoke for long periods.

Well if you want to ignore the facts and continue living in the past there is no point.
Look at how many shots we have had taken against us and then make an argument for our midfield being overrun, tell me why Toure heads the passing stats in the EPL Index Stats Centre, with (270) minutes played, (267) total passes and a total passing accuracy of (90.64%). He has played the least amount of passes backwards for a midfielder in the Premier League so far this season (8.24% – 22 backward passes), while playing (75) passes forward.
Tell me why our club has invested a lot of money in getting this information if all can be seen on the touchline.

Living in the past? Anyway, so that's 22 back, 75 forward and 145 sideways passes, ignoring all non-complete. Excellent. Exactly what we need from him in that defensive role. My post complained about sideways passes and these stats support it, facts don't lie.

Look how far advanced he is in the 2nd half tonight and it's a different side and a different player.
