Parking at Gods Own Stadium

Postby Invisible Man Fan » Tue Sep 24, 2013 10:17 am

Morning boys, normally jump on the train to the match, but driving tonight for the first time ever.

Where's best to park?

Cheers

There's parking all around the ground, if you park at the 'official' ground parking it will cost you a tenner but there's other secure parking dotted around for 6,7,8 quid just look for the match day parking signs

Are they secure though?

They always look a little ropey to me

Just park on the road next to the cemetery, we park there every game and never have any issues and its 10 times quicker to get away than it is parking at the ground

I think it's permit holders only on most of the streets around the ground. Velodrome is a good shout

Do you not mean "Give me a fiver and I won't smash your car up"

Briscoe lane or tenacres lane are the best for free parking

I Guess it depends on where you are coming from?

We come off the M60 along Ashton old road turn right in to Allan Turning Way and then use a match day car park just on the left. then just walk up past Marry D's. Normally getting out isn't a problem as there are traffic lights

Most of them car parks are owned by Salford gangsters so your cars will be safe :-)

Riverpark Road, M40 2XP.

It's free, 100's of people park there and its only about 10 mins walk. I have parked there with no trouble literally 100's of times.

Is that where you parked when I came with you and Chris (think he was called that)?

You can park for free on Palmerston St. Occasionally get kids asking if they can mind your car so just give them a quid and it's all good

Yes, there are literally 100's of cars there and I've never seen any trouble with the cars.
