Does anyone have any info on Rodwell being injured again & if so with what. Manuel mentioned it in one of his post game interviews

Unless he plays regularly he will always pick up niggling injuries. Vicious circle I'm afraid maybe the end is nigh. Hope he ends up a top player somewhere he had all the tools and seems like a genuine bloke.

The phrase "better choice than Garcia" is thrown around far too easily these days.

Rodwell is way better than Garcia on the ball. Also, Rodwell is more of a box to box player. Add to that, he's younger and English. He really deserves to be ahead of Garcia in the pecking order IMO.

It is true in this case though based on what we have seen of the two players in a City shirt. Garcia has not - yet - produced anything of the quality we saw Rodwell produce v Norwich. Different positions I know but the point remains.

With regard to Garcia, how is he getting into the Spanish team if he is nothing but the player we are seeing at City? He must have something. I don't know what it is but there must be something there. I'd like to know what any Spanish posters would have to say on this.

Ha ha. 'S a fair kop.

I still believe there must be something good to come from Garcia though. I wonder what it will be.

No, when he plays he gets injured . Talented as he is , his talent is no use on the sick bench. It's a deal that's not working out , we should move him on.

Rodwell on the treatment table or Garcia on the pitch?

I know what I'd rather have.

Garcia has been asked to play in different positions to his midfield position. Rodwell keeps getting injured.

We've got a strong enough squad to persevere with Rodwell.

Look at Van Persie. I believe Sunday was the first game he'd missed through jury for two and a half years. Before that he was a walking sick note.

I think that he has it in him to become something special for us and I'd like to see us give him time to get through his present phase of injuries as many players suffer a spate of niggly injuries in their late teens / early twenties - much to do with the natural tendency for uneven development patterns as the lads fill out muscle wise very quickly but not in all areas at once. This puts strain on other muscle groups, joints and tendons etc. causing tweak after tweak. I hope that's what it is and I hope he gets through it to reach his full potential in a blue shirt.
Didn't Gerrard have an 'always crocked' phase at that age followed by many years of faultless service?
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Agreed, the speed that people write injured players off with is ridiculous. People were saying get rid of Kompany last week!
