Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Anyone else noticed the contrast to previous years? We have just piled the pressure on Wigan tonight with our blend of players at the start and later bringing on more senior players as the match has gone on.

Not sure we'd have seen that in previous seasons. More likely we'd have taken off the better players and tried to absorb pressure for much of this half.

I prefer this approach....

Great game

Great night.

When you look at the management staff and coaches on the bench, they all look like dark evil counts and poor Kiddo sits there looking like he feel's lucky his blood hasn't been sucked out yet. Bless him.

With some of the games we've seen does it remind you of the PL winning season.

So while there's moonlight and music
And love and romance
Let's face the music and dance.....
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

That really was a pleasure to watch. The hunger and desire that was so badly missing at time last year seems to be back.

Gel.

And I think that was the point of playing such a strong side at this stage of the competition, more games we can get the likes of JoJo, Negredo and Navas involved in, the quicker we'll adapt to the new system.

It also keeps the likes of Milner and Dzeko fit and happy. You get the feeling the later much prefers being a sub these days.

otherwise, completely agree with your statements.

I honestly think there is a 25+ season in him, he has such a crisp powerful shot that used the same way the rags utilize Princess and he could have a stormer of a season.

I have been saying that since we bought him. He was a square peg in a round hole under Mancini who seemed to want him to link up and hold the ball up at which he is useless.

If he starts 30 odd league games this season I think he could hit 30 goals.

All this,
plus key players like Yaya and Ferdi, Negredo and Dzeko are getting equal treatment. Games are coming thick and fast and the work load is being spread without particularly favouring one or the other.

It was a good chance to see a different set up without the 'old boys' dictating the space.

I wish the fuclin stream had been not been just showing me stills through the first half, as I'd like to compare the two halves.

Pellers has said that Dzeko is his main striker, but Negredo is also playing well and Aguero back in form is just about as unplayable as a striker gets(outside of the Messi-ah).

Fuck it, bring back Corradi and Samaras, this is too much.
