Disagree, Nasri was wound up and there was every chance he'd have done something stupid to get sent off.

That substitution wasn't the problem, inept defending was.

Pelle had to take Nasri off because he had a yellow and was already on the bad side of the Ref due to his half time antics. There were two offside goals the free kick was a bitch out from the ref, he would have never given that free kick down the other end. Yes I think complacency at the end of the day was the root of the problem but i cant blame Pelle for that I blame the players. Especially useless Milner and Mr watch me run pretty with my hair flowing Kolarov.

agreed. it would have been stupid to keep him on with a yellow, considering we have Jesus on the bench.

Take off guy who holds the ball and calms the team down and replace him with one dimensional winger. Stupidity of highest order when you are 2-1 up and need to close the shop and avoid cracks between midfield and defenders.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He should have stayed within his area for the third, he eliminated his hands from the equation by advancing too far too soon (unless he was willing to take a red for the team)

Completely agree Hart was never going to reach the ball at least stay in the box and make striker beat him made it far too easy. Would still not blame him alone for the goal school boy defending on that punt up the pitch.

Pity linesman that was so flag happy in first half couldnt spot the clear offside for their first without that dont think we would have conceded at all Villa looked scared shitless to get out of their half that gave them hope

Am I missing something or wasn't the third goal offside as well!

We were crap after half time particularly Nasty but a linesman who allows two offside goals, flags when we are onside and then gives a ridiculaous foul throw surely we are entitled to better than that
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

It is predictable that some people will blame the manager for this.

We were excellent for 70 minutes. A manager cannot legislate for three costly mistakes by an individual player who we all rate.

I thought Nasri was hauled off before he was sent off and was replaced by a player most of this thread were calling for.

At Cardiff and today we have look mentally weak when we go behind against the run of play. Just as we did last season. In that case the blame lies not with the manager of this and last season but firmly at the door of the players. It was them that decided we were home and dry at 2-1 not the manager.

Either way. The two games we have lost should have never been in doubt. Not the hallmark of Champions.

We were NOT excellent. We couldn't score more than two against possibly worst team we will meet all year.

you dont want to lose but maybe now this loss and the Cardiff loss will give this team a kick up the ass. one that it desperately needs.
there were always going to be growing pains with the new players and the new manager.

Pellegrini needs to sort the away form out pronto,1 point from Cardiff, Stoke, Villa and conceding 6 goals is obviously not good enough. He conceded 20 goals in five successive away defeats at the end of last season for Malaga, in fact his record now reads 1 win in 10 away games for City and Malaga. We have yet to visit grounds like Arsenal,Liverpool,Chelsea,Spurs,Rags it doesn't bode well.

Cant remember Hart making one save yet he was beat 3 times, happens far to often for me, its like starting a game 1-0 down. Time we invested in a decent keeper. Have grown tired of his shit positioning ,shit decision making, and shit kicking. No coincidence when he plays shit so does the defence, there is an error or two virtually every other game, only El Habsi of relegated Wigan had more unforced errors last season.

it is only daft inevitable mistakes from the same culprits that is consistently costing us, it cost us last season ,and it is well on course to cost us yet again this season. To lose a game by 3 goals where you dominated the possession 68% and your keeper had to make no save of note is incredible.

That's the thing. We've played half of the "easy" away fixtures now.

Hart couldn't do anything about the goals today though.

Ha ha ha, you're not wrong there.

By the way, we could end up 7th by the end of the weekend, behind Chelsea at least 5 points off the lead. Let's hope Arsenal don't get a win and it keeps us all within reach.

On the bright side, The Rags could end up in 15th ;-)

I thought that at the time but I have just seen the third goal again and whilst he should never have been put that position he should have made a centre half type clearence into row z. He made it very easy for the striker to score.

I really felt the Cardiff loss would have been enough of a kick in the ass.No excuses for the way the players switched off today they can only blame themselves Villa were rubbish.
