Personally, I feel the PL will always be number one. Any trophies outside of it are bonuses but the league should always be a priority. I understand though the emerging argument that the CL has a higher global profile and from a business point of view, it's probably fair to say clubs themselves would choose it, if forced between the two.
I'd choose every day of the week to finish 1st in the league and reach the QF in Europe, over winning the CL and finishing 3rd/4th. Perhaps an old-fashioned view, but I see more merit in consistently picking up points over 9 months. Thoughts?
