With Dzeko appearing with Pellegrini for the presser, is that an indication that he's starting ahead of Negredo in this one? Although I'd love Aguero + Negredo up front but I think we'll probably see Dzonkey on ...

Strange how Nastasic is now getting the blame for VK's fuckups, just as Lescott traditionally does.

I rate Lescott as a miles better defender than Nastasic, but he hasn't played much next to Vinny this season. Throwing him in v Bayern may be the best option, but the correct way to do it would have been to play the pair together in some games first in order to establish a partnership.

Chucking a new defensive pairing together for big games is a Mancini trick which often failed miserably.

Yes milner is better defensively but navas has to start this one, as bayern will have a lot of posession we need his pace on the counter and we need him to press alaba back. Pelligrini says we will attack so expect to see navas and negredo start.

Do you have any other fun names for city players?

Leave that to the rags, there's a good lad. You're talking about a player who scored a lot of goals for my club.

Navas' intelligence & effort/pace in first spotting the run, then catching, overtaking, dispossessing Danny Wellshite at a key moment in the derby was as good as anything Milner has ever done defensively.

If the Count wants him to attack but then track pacey Bayern players when we lose the ball, it's arguable whether he is actually better suited to the defensive job than Milner.

Dzeko will score in Champions League. It is only in PL that he wont and that will be my fault. I put money on him to be PL top scorer. Kiss of death, sorry Edin.

I don't think any malice was intended by AG7 when he called him Dzonkey.I refer to him as Dzonkey myself regardless of it being in a positive or negative manner.

it s not about the nickname. Edin this season is running a lot more , fight a lot more , had some great game one poor half score goals , there is no more insane worship at list here i don't see that here. He was better then Negredo last game who is also great player .Just feel sometime hes always a guilty party .But i guess that is the case for other players us well. Never mind that i just say my opinion , what is really matter is to WIN tonight .

Yes this is probably the most expensive home game I have been to (possible exception is LC SF) and no beer is rubbish when they sell it by the barrel outside the grounds in Europe. Luckily am enjoying my second pint of Mad Goose before leaving for the Etihad ......

Clichy must play and Nasri needs to put in a shift when we haven't got the ball. Navas has been prepared to help out Zaba defensively which has been good to see. Bayern's strength on the flanks has to be countered. More than anything stop Robben cutting inside. We also have to be really solid at dead ball situations. We must attack but sensibly.

Basically bricking it but I think we'll get a draw which would be fine. The really big game is away to Moscow. If we win that we're home and hosed for the last 16.

To be frank. Nasri has contributed defensively in the last few games. He does track back and work hard to get the ball back.

Ribery will be a far bigger threat than Robben, imo. Richards is starting. I hope he isn't rusty, although he will be a lot more effective offensively.
