We were losing almost every ball in the air, every ball in tackles. They were moving the ball around midfield as if we only had mannequins and with such good touch and movement our players were getting dizzy.I remain stunned that Pellegrini didn't at least try to stop them. When we got the ball and they pressed hard and fast there didn't seem to be a way out so we played long and lost it by either being offside or plain soft.
When they had the ball and we tried to press we left gaping holes for them to play it out.I can't think of a player deserving even a 6 tonight but sadly I think Joe Hart needs a break. On his best form he might have stopped all 3 tonight and 2 for definite.

I thought Fernandinho was head and shoulders better than any other City player & it's a great pity he fucked up & got caught on the ball. It still shouldn't have ended in a goal though.
If the Count doesn't immediately learn from this & totally change our tactics v Bayern next time, he isn't going to learn, & should be sacked. I can accept us losing again, but I can't accept us not at least trying to adapt.

the thing is he hasnt showed signs that he is learning from his errors. he is not a young manager.
it was blatantly clear that the side needed changing from less than 15 mins into the game yet he persisted with an isolated and over run midfiled until about the 67th minute. this i cant get at all. why were the changes not made earlier? there has been too many blunders and cant see it changing short term. surely surely a man of his experience, or some of his staff can see these mistakes.

So if your team turns in scores like that you aint winning against the Euro champs.

Agreed. He ran his bollocks off. 9km when he was subbed compared to the team average of under 8km. Can't fault that.
Yaya looked lazy/tired, Gelson Fernandinho inept.
The whole team couldn't keep possession under pressure & then was unable to press the opposition. Even if it was Bayern Munich (& they were very good, make no mistake), it was a diabolical performance.
I Just Blue Myself wrote:They were shown on the telly when he was subbed. His was 8.9x while the team average was 7.7x or thereabouts, if I remember correctly. It was pretty obvious even without the stats tho. He looked fucked (off) compared to some others in the team.
Also, did anyone else spot Richards doing his jogging-back-casually routine? You'd think he'd at least bust a gut in the Champions League v Bayern fucking Munich.
Slightly related, that one time when Alaba walked into the penalty area uncontested while him & Navas just stood there, 10 yards off, was quite bizarre. It was just as bad as Clichy's howler.

Pellegrini a 6, you've got to be kidding me? He had his arse handed to him last night.
