This Weeks Other Games

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Oct 05, 2013 9:48 am

Time for a new, clean thread I think. After we beat Everton and sit nicely in 2nd, who are the teams that can reel us back in?

Today

Cardiff v Newcastle 15:00
Fulham v Stoke 15:00
Hull v Aston Villa 15:00
Liverpool v Crystal Palace 15:00
Sunderland v Man Utd 17:30

Tomorrow

Norwich v Chelsea 13:30
Southampton v Swansea 13:30
Tottenham v West Ham 16:00
West Brom v Arsenal 16:00
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

I'm not sure mate, there could be some upsets this weekend, one being us. Sunderland, who played well last week, could get their act together and after Brom's away win at the Rags, they could be just ready for a possible over-confident Arsenal.

When I was doing the prediction league I found it hard to call most of the games as there is so much going on in the league. We'll see though and I think there is only a couple of bankers this week, one being the Dippers v Palace.

Yeah I'm with Beefy on this one, I think this is an interesting round of matches!
Just the dippers & Spurs can be seen as certain bankers beforehand imo.
Lot of neutrals will surely have our game as a certain home win but we know better than that and hopefully the poor results against Everton is starting to piss off some of the players too so they'll be up for it!

As for the other games, some interesting ones there. Yeah Arse are flying right now but I quite fancy West Brom to be one of the teams who get results against the big boys on their ground. And they'll surely be high on confidence after last week. Against Spurs, us, pool, Chelsea I'd bet on them to get points but I do think eventually Arse will be too strong as I've been really impressed with Arse lately. We'll see

Sunderland-scum is an interesting one too. mad man canio gone now so a chance for Sunderland to get their act together. I'm not holding my breath though as they just seem soooo average. or at least did last week, haven't seen too much of them otherwise.

Norwich-Chelsea. game that could be 1-0 or 0-5. that's what Norwich are like, occasionally very organised, solid side who can make it difficult for you but the next weekend they look like my pub team! i'm going for a draw here

cardiff-newcastle could be anything and I'm expecting to see five goals in MOTD. Fulham-Stoke looks like the dull game of the week, 1-0 with a goal from a corner is on the cards.
I'm expecting Hull to get another 3 points at home. We're early in the season but these are big big games for them and they need to get the points in. just like last time out they were in Prem, they're gonna end up in trouble later anyway.
and finally So'ton, they're gonna keep up their good early form & stay ahead of us, glad we're not facing them just yet

Soton-Swansea is gonna be really interesting.
And I can see WBA picking up a draw or squeaking one out vs. Arsenal after they had CL football midweek.
Hull City are going to be way weaker without Brady so they could draw 1s or 0s
Newcastle seem to have found something in Remy so I think theyll win.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Looks like Dippers v Palace now for me. I've got 3 of them in my FFT and expecting quite a few points although I don't mind if Palace do them over. That'd be my prefered option actually.

2 very good goals from the Dippers but Sturridge is on fire.

Bloody hell this Liverpool game is a cracker already - Sturridge scored their second with an excellent goal.

I have them down for 3-0 in the prediction league but they could end up with more than that in the first half.

I'm watching the Cardiff v Newcastle game. Remy scored a nice goal from 20yards

And he's done it again! Nice as I have him on my FFT
Newcastle have been one class beyond Cardiff so far. Decent game with good tempo as well straight from the start

3-0
I hope this renewed stranglehold that Liverpool & Arsenal are having at the top subsides sooner than later if we are to challenge for the title in peace without the rags' threat.
