Completely agree. Those 3 link up so well together.

Milner's bad performance last week against Villa last week stood out because it's so rare for him to under perform. He's usually always one of our best players.

It still irritates me that Mancini dropped him for the Cup Final last season.

MUCH better second half performance. Lukaku was completely neutralized and, whereas we were getting whipped in the midfield in the first half, we controlled the midfield in the second half.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

That's another monkey off our backs and we need to do the same in our next away games.

How many consecutive games is it we've scored in now, 54 is it?

I felt very comfortable about this result from 5 minutes into second half. Everton barely troubled us after half time

5-2, didn't you and I see that game together?

I do not recall that game at all. When was it?

We watched us getting beat 2 nil at Goodison. Stephen Jordan got sent off.

You might have gone travelling by that point, it was the game we needed for 40 points and safety, Wanchope got a hatrick IIRC.

You might be right as I have no memory of that game.

No doubt Milner plays very well with Silva and Zaba and you can never fault his workrate but do you think his performances are only in home games and not in away games? As I say his effort is excellent always but does his quality dip in away games?

Do we know what Vinnie's injury is yet? The other week (before the Villa game I think) I mentioned a player with a massive bandage on his leg! That was Vinnie and it was very worrying at the time.It covered from well above his knee down to his shin!

On Wednesday Mr Pellegrini got it completely wrong, today he got it right.

Milner's selection, principally to look after Baines, worked a treat. Good solid performance, and just what the doctor ordered. Silva incisive and always looking to be positive, and Negredo a total pest - the antithesis of Dzeko in workrate and hostility towards the defenders he is playing against. The guy is a nuisance and defences will hate him.

The only downside being yet another Kompany injury; and to think some on here claim he isn't injury prone as well. Maybe the song should be "And heres to you Vincent Kompany, will you ever play more than 5 games" - we are far too reliant on such a fragile player at the moment - sad but true.

However, the two lefties did well after he went off, hopefully they'll take the opportunity and step the fuck up.

Silva was less than average in the first half ! Misplaced passes, wrong decisions, one time when he could have sent Yaya on a great run he checked back and fluffed an easy left footed pass to the left wing !

Much better in the second half though.

Both Negredo and Edin are great strikers , we are fortunate to have both.

Decent win today. I don't think we have a good record against Everton, and we made an unbeaten side look mid-table fodder.

Of course we have to win games like this all season, but I think it's fair to say that a 3-1 win coming from 0-1 gives a certain confidence that the same score line from 3-0 doesn't offer.

A really polished second half performance. I like it when we play keep ball.

To those at the game. Was Dinho playing deeper in the 2nd half and was he deeper again than against Bayern? He was out of shot a lot of times when I was looking for him so I can only assume he was either playing as a striker or just in front of the defence.

We were on 2nd mate, after the Rags rampant win against the high flying BlackCats.

I'm sure people have said that the late game can never be on 1st?

Just watched it an predicted what the 'analysis' would focus on. They should have had a penalty and if their defenders hadn't got involved with the beast, aguero wouldn't have scored. And sure enough this covered it after much debate on our penalty, lucky 3-1 win.

Scouse 1 game and a dominant 3-1 win v palace. Plus they never even discussed the complete dive by Stirling for their penalty and 3rd goal.

Strange.....

It was good to see Big Dave looking like Big Dave again. Probing, moving, all over the front line. Marvellous.
Another cracking game. Thought the penno was a dive though.

cant see what the debate on the pen is unless body checking is now allowed. Made a coont of myself laudin Lescott to the skies then looking a right twat when Lukaku slipped him. Good game, always had too much pace and power for them. And the fishing in the Irwell after was fun.

I didn't quite get the commentary yesterday as it seemed very pro-Everton. Then I realised, Moyes old team, the underdog darlings with Roberto Martinez at the helm, what's not to like from the media angle.

When they scored I thought they were gonna jiz and even at the end it was all about Everton and the possible penalty. Only as the whistle went did they say 'On the balance of play, City deserved it' and that was done begrudgingly.
