Not at all. You've seen him play lately? You know how he's gelled with the rest of the squad? How he's settled in the area? How he looks in training and whether he's playing on a par with, or better than Aguero? Because that's whose spot he'd be taking.

The sub appearances I've seen have been nothing special. For someone to demand he start ahead of Aguero he'd have to be showing something pretty special in training. And the only one who attends training is...... Slim? Dub?

Stop digging dazby, you're deep enough down.

I've watched jovetic in numerous games over the last 4 years.

Please don't try to tell me that watching him in training is what counts.

Do I really need to start listing off players who are world class and bad trainers or will we just leave it?

Ok Dubs, in your 4 years of extensive watching, do you think he's anywhere near Aguero's class?

Is there any reason why he can't play with Agüero?

I can still get a hint of doubt through your sarcasm there dazby. Not sure why?

Anyway, can he play with aguero? Definitely. Tevez and aguero formed an excellent partnership at one stage and I thought they would struggle together. They can both play behind the main striker and therefore keep switching if need be.

Obviously against a lot of teams in the prem, we're gonna need our target man and I wouldn't be a fan of dropping negredo right now at all... but jovetic can also slot in on the left of a trio so depending on who we're playing...

Look, I can't say the guy is gonna make it in the prem. You just never know until he's had a run of games. What I do know is that he has amazing ability and I've been hoping we'd sign him since the takeover.

I haven't watched him train, but I don't see why my opinion shouldn't count because of that?

A different style of player to aguero dazby. Not as good a finisher but has the ability to change games on his own. On his day, he's like a mix between silva and aguero.

That's my tuppence anyway.

Reading your posts about him is getting me really excited about him. I hope he gets out of his injury streak soon.

He wouldn't be playing with Aguero, he'd be replacing him.

Pellers plays a tall and a short. Dzeko and Neggers are the tall, Kun and Jo Jo are the short. For Jojo to play, he'd have to replace Kun.

Of course he'll get his go during the season as Kun won't play every game. But those calling for him to play have to realise that its at the expense of Kun.

Silly theory. There's only a centimeter between Jovetic (1.85) and Negredo (1.86).

Not to piss on your chips, but I'd say Jovetic is a bit taller than Negredo. He's not as physical a player, though, if that's what you mean (but then neither is Dzeko).

I'm sure we'll give all the combos a go, but right now the Agüero-Negredo one is working a treat. Dzeko and Jovetic will have to sit tight.

Kun has more pace than all 3 put together, he is not being replaced anyone, only he gets the 2nd Saturday.

Not necessarily, I've seen him play wide left of a three behind the striker. We could see Aguero playing off one of Dzeko/Negredo with Jovetic left.

Definitely. Jovetic left off Negredo, with Aguero off the right. I'd like to see that actually.

You're kidding right? It's not a theory, it's the system. A tall striker up front, a second striker to play in behind, tracking the knock-downs and joining the midfield when required. Going off Dub's description of JoJo he fits the second striker role perfectly.

So the only reason that Jovetic can't be the "tall" is because of Dub's opinion, an opinion you claim doesn't count towards this discussion but are now quoting to back up your tenuous point?

You're a dick.

The original topic was " anyone like to see neggers and the 'invisible man' given a go?" I wrote that Doug is the only one that would know if he is ready.

JoJo's had one start in the League Cup. Partnered with Dzeko. Dzeko got subbed by..... Neggers.

One start in the Prem. He got subbed in the 63rd minute by......Kun.

Whenever Dzeko or Negredo have been subbed it's been for each other.

Whenever Kun has been subbed, with JoJo's unavailability it's been either for an attacking midfielder (if we're pushing on) or a defensive midfielder to protect the lead.

What's tenuous about that?

I'm talking about the tall/short theory. Jovetic might fit the second striker role perfectly, but it has nothing to do with height.
