Another cracking game. Thought the penno was a dive though.

Only in the second half , he was awful in the first .... Big Dave

Not at all. I thought he was having a positive influence from the outset. He is one of my all time favourite players but he has looked jaded for over twelve months. A welcome return to form.

If Aguero alone had put his chances away they could've had the penalty and still been on the end of a hiding.

Absolutely. They offered nothing second half and City were way superior. I thought it was odd that our defence improved when Kompany went off. Anyway, we should have had 5 or 6.

I do not see any credit for mullering the scousers. Unbeaten and 8-2 would have been a true reflection of the game. MOTD, almost in tears we smashed them with snidey comments, Zabba looked less of a penalty than LULU's. The media saw the weekends topics blown out of the water. 3 points off and another ARSE LICKED team all be it a home. My only gripe we are wasting chances at an alarming rate. Some team is going to be done 10.

They didn't get any chances because we kept the ball better and (I've just had confirmation ) Dinho played deeper. Yaya made some timely interceptions too.

SAS = 8 goals
The Double A (Aguero & Alvaro) = 7 goals
The Double A&E (+ Edin) = 9 goals
The Yada (Yaya, Aguero, Dzeko and Alvaro) =13 goals (2 more than their entire squad have scored)

Goals in 7 games:

MCFC 17 v 11 Dippers

Average goals per game:

MCFC 2.4 v 1.5 Dippers

Goal difference:

MCFC +9 v +6 Dippers

Next highest goal scorers:

Arsenal = 14 (ave 2 per game)

Still a bit wasteful but do we expect that ratio every game? Doesn't look too bad to me.

I know we've scored the most goals but we've also lost 2 games where we've scored 2 & arguably we'd have won them if we had put the many chances we had away. We would the be top of league & cruising to the title instead of looking over shoulder worrying what other teams are doing.fuck them, we are better than that

You are right but it could be considered that our defence shouldn't have given sloppy goals away when we're in winning positions. Sort that and we can just about get by with 2-3 goals a game ;-)

Agree with the defence comment.if we get our shit together in defence our forward line + nasri, yaya, navas & silva will score enough for us to walk the league. The problem is our defence hasn't got its shit together & it doesn't look like doing any time soon so maybe we will see more 3-2 or 4-2 games than we'd like. The downside to this is when we play a tough away game we are as likely to lose by that score as win. Kompany out for a month with the same problem he had at start of the season is a big headache. He is our leader both of the team but more importantly the defence. Other people can captain the side but who from Lescott, Nasty, Kola, Clichy, Zabba, Richards & dare i say Garcia can marshall,cajole,lead the defence. None has stepped up to the plate yet

The forward third of the field is the LEAST of our concerns.
