Yes, Lahm played in midfield, that's why one of our strikers should've stuck to him. Dzeko & Aguero could've even taken turns, so as not to tire out. He picked the ball up in his own half & could spray it around with nobody bothering him all game.

And as Blue Since 76 already pointed out, we didn't have enough midfielders, which makes our forwards doing fuck all even more criminal.

I don't know what kind of back three you are talking about tho. Bayern played a back four of Alaba - Dante - Boateng - Rafinha.

No not at all . It's 11 against 11 . Dropping a striker back into midfield frees up another Bayern defender.

Yeah, well, if you think it's wiser to have a free midfielder instead of a free defender, you're beyond help.

Don't take this the wrong way, but were you there on watching on TV? On TV, they obviously follow the ball, so I doubt they showed much of our forwards or the work Muller was doing off the ball, for that matter.

That isn't a comment that if you weren't there you can't have an opinion, just a realistic point that what we did without the ball and what Bayern did was poles apart, which was certainly evident from the stands seeing the whole pitch (with 21 players in one half for most of the game)

Don't be silly Lahm is right back in the Zabs mould. He isn't a midfielder, in the way Barry , Yaya or Samir play.
