They were allied for a very brief period & split as early as 1948.

The Non-Aligned Movement was founded in Belgrade under Tito & 4 other heads of state to distance themselves further from the Cold War.

Reason enough to not consider them part of Eastern Europe, never mind the Eastern Bloc.

If you insist, I can't be bothered arguing mate, I know that many consider the former Yugoslav states as Eastern Europe for the very reasons I've given.

Yes so was I, and quite surprised to find yours being the only comment to this affect.

Everything they did offensively involved Jovetic and he was very effective in what he did. Dropping vey deep to link up and using the ball very intelligently before moving forwards to link up play again in a more offensive position (give and go).

He hit a 60yd pass for their best chance of the first half with real precision that picked out a runner between England's centre halves. He continued this into the second half and as we saw, beating Joe all ends up from 20-25yds only to hit the bar.

He played the captains role which he was unaccustomed to, to good effect (making a point of putting an arm around the lad who scored the own goal - I think he kissed him) and was withdrawn from play simply because he had given everything. I was very impressed

Classy display. If he was on the other side it would have been 8-0

Although that was just the game to answer that very question. And for me the answer was a resounding no - he is not too lightweight, especially when you consider what little game time he'd going into this one and the fact he had just recovered from injury.

Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

I've just watched the Everton game & Silva actually did a better job harassing their defenders than any of the front 3 did v Bayern.

Jovetic (when fully fit) can do the same kind of job, from the same kind of areas, then get forward into striking positions.

Considering he had Lampard and Gerrard in this area of the pitch he showed enough to see why we bought him, he is the lurker who piches the ball he would have been usefull against Bayern's 3 in there, sharp mind quick feet, I thought he scared Gerrard to death in the 1st half.

Didn't see the game but in the earlier game in Montenegro, their manager initially started him up front, where Lescott & Co just snuffed him out completely. But 2nd half he moved deeper & ran rings round England's midfield; completely outclassed them.

Imo he is average upfront & possibly a world star when played deeper.
