I've a few Hammers mates. As they like a bit of rhyming slang they call him "Where's the goal"

Shouldn't have said that, he'll probably get a hat trick now.

In line with the American tradition of retiring the shirt number when a great player leaves, West Ham have done the same with Carlton Cole.

Row Z in the Bobby Moore stand is now known as Cole row

Pissed off it is on TV - being entirely selfish - being in Berkshire this is one of the shortest journeys I face - anyone else on here going - or heard of any pubs to meet up in?

Negredo is a must start for me. He is in great form and should be rewarded and his fine form will benefit the squad, not the bench

I agree ... and for the same reasons I'd NOT start him against WestHam ... he's our most in-form striker right now ... use him against Moscow and Chelsea ... there is no way who starts against WestHam will also play the next two big(ger) games ... but again, as I said, I agree with your reasoning. I'd rather we start Aguero who's well rested too.

Negredo will start two games out of three, my ultimate guess would be he will play against west ham and Chelsea. I have a feeling Dzeko will start midweek.

I dont get this rest him for the next two bigger games fully. He's a professional athlete and in bloody good form at the moment, get him on the pitch from the off. If a couple up then yeah by all means take him off early second half.

Need him I reckon this weekend.

As Kompany isn't playing we will likely need to score 3 times to ensure we get something from this game.

Fuck that, cant wait for the game provided I can find it on somewhere in Addis Ababa - any of the mcfc.net globetrotters happen to know of any chance of seeing the game?

Evening ladies, its been a while. Hope all's well in the stratosphere.

There's been a bit of a local storm brewing for a while about this game, due to our ever-reliable owners advertising the game in the ground along the lines of 'come and see us play some superstars'. I know that's what any of us going will in fact be doing, but not so sure its a clever ticket sales device.

Anyway, your timing's wrong. You might have been better off playing us before we won at Spurs, but we've all had a bit of a confidence boost since then. Difficult not to really, that being the first victory at WHL in the 21st century. Not as important as your 1-6 victory a couple back, but sweet-tasting nonetheless. They were certainly dominant first half and would probably have gone on to win, if scoring first, but our defence is meaner than most imagine (4 clean ones in 7 games is totally unheard of normally).

I still imagine that you'll emerge victorious tomorrow.

1. Your boss, if he's any kop, aint going to let you lose 3 /4 of your first aways
2. Yaya always plays well against us
3. On their day, you have the league's best attacking options
4. In comparison, ours are dire.

However, I am confident you will get given a game.

To the travellers, have a safe one.

How happy are you with BFS overall? I always get the impression that he's still not that popular in spite of the fact that you're miles better now than when he took the reins.

Sam's a grizzled old Prem operator and, fair play to the bloke, he's fought to make his mark on the game as a manager.

He's slowly transformed the team into a fitter, more battling team of players and ensured survival last season fairly comfortably.

So, he's clearly deserving of credit.

I'm not really a fan of his, because I've never really liked him. Or his methods.

I think we'll survive this season, but probably a bit lower down the table than last.

That's unless the batsh*t crazy idea of signing Andy Sicknote doesn't backfire in all our faces. Without him, the team is woefully short of strikers. Carlton Cole, much as I love the fella makes Jo look world class somedays.

Others, he ruins people. 'Specially newbie debutants.
