It would be ace. Think it could be Norwich next week. Last season aside we always seem to muller them. Should win today, though it will probably be close

Mourinho could flood the midfield today.

We have so many options, we could actually start the game with one up front, then just make a change to an extra striker as soon as we felt comfortable. We wouldn't lose much by starting like that, as a point is a decent result in the scheme of things & the onus is on Chelsea to win this. We will beat them at our place.

The Count seems to be a shit or bust kind of guy though, so it'll probably just be a case of sending them out & telling them to score more than Chelsea do.

Hope it works.

Haha, I think this is true and don't think he ever likes setting up for a draw.

I wouldn't want it any other way!

Just looked at the table and we could anything from 3rd to just sat above the Rags. Let's hope it's the former.

Would anybody say we're having a shit season if it's the latter?

Souness saying Garcia should not be playing at CB and we should be playing Lescott instead.

Dunno, I think we have probably played the best football of any side so far but threw away points stupidly. Lose today and its a bad start in terms of the league table but I wouldn't be too unhappy with Pelligrini. I think he'll get things right.

I'm still pissed off about the Villa result.

I think both the Villa and Cardiff games came as a bit of a shock to most with the Bayern game becoming so farcical it cannot be explained.

The truth is though, apart from the game-play, that we will only be 2 points up on the Rags having played similar games. I'm not saying this is going to happen as I've a little hunch that we'll get something out of this game but it was a hypothetical question in light of our newfound pasting of how the Rags have started the season.

3-1 to us. really think we'll win this one. Aguero and Silva are hitting form brilliantly atm and there's very few sides who can live with them.

Looks like Quinny is doing our commentary again and has just been banging on that we underperformed against CSKA and were lucky to come away with a win. Also says that he prefers the BlackCat v Sunderland Derby than our own because of the fans.

Cheers Quinny, seems we're not good enough for you nowadays, or were we ever.

I still think the Rags are like a pesky fly that won't go away. How many times in the past have they lost a couple of games, then we all get really excited about their downfall and then it comes back to bite us on the arse. The title winning season was meant to have finished them off according to some and then they came back and won the league by Christmas (effectively)the next season. Moral of the story is don't write them off.
Even if we do lose today I still think we've shown enough to suggest we will be far closer than we were last season. But who knows, with Liverpool and Arsenal playing so well, it could really be a fantastic season to watch.
Only thing we can do is keep winning and playing well and not focusing on how far ahead of them we are.

Shame about Quinn. Was one of my heroes early 90s. Appears he holds a real grudge against us. No idea why either. Having read his book there is no obvious explanation

This will come as no surprise but I think they had a real leg-up last season with some very dodgy ref'ing decisions, especially in the big games. I'm sure the oppo had players sent off in marginal games and penalties given where there should've been a yellow brandished.

The difference this season is that they failed to strengthen (which most said about us) and they've lost that extra 10-20 points that RasherChops brought. They don't look anything like the champions and look far worse than we did last season. Slowly, they will start winning, I'm absolutely certain of it and can see Gollum getting decisions that Taggart used to get. A penalty here, a freekick there, an extra minute or so at the end of a game just either bring them back or to take the game, they all mount up.

The powers that be will not allow the Rags to slip out of a title challenge, there is too much invested in them being in or around the top spots. As we seen yesterday, them winning writes off what has happened previous, even against a side that can't usually score a goal for toffee but suddenly go 2 up at the Theatre of Screams. It sells.

Well, let's hope that Demichelis has a Nastasic-esque debut.
