A disgrace if he starts Sat. He may pick up "a small knock in training" & be unavailable for selection methinks

How can we possibly know. I can't quite believe he'll end up like Paul Robinson but there are no guarantees. If Pants does well against the Bar Codes he probably deserves another go. Will Hart react well or start telling his agent he wants a transfer? If he does he probably ought to get one. If Casillas is really available Txiki might well be interested. There again we need a centre back and probably a left back and I'm not sure they'll spend big in all three positions....

Saying that Hart has cost us 2-3 trophies the last couple of seasons is very simplistic. Yes, he's had some real howlers that have cost us points, but he's also made some top notch saves, which have saved us points. In the same manner, our strikers have fluffed chances and scored screamers, our midfielders have missed passes and lost markings, but also made fabulous tackles and cut defences open.

Yes, Hart is out of form, but most points we have dropped so far have been down to collective shortcomings.

Only one way to find out. Do we still persist with Hart and trust to luck he suddenly finds form again? Or do we back his understudy for a few games and trust to luck he steps up. Either way both are on a hiding to nothing as the defence is as solid as a soft boiled egg. I personally favour giving Panti a go. He honestly cant do worse than Hart

Is that you Joe?
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

No question that Hart cost us a point yesterday, it was all on him but you're spot on, it's good to see some sense amongst the foaming.

For me I think you make some very good points.
I would much rather keep someone we know has the ability but is having a bad patch rather than somebody who no one has much of an idea about.

Jeezus - it's Joe Hart meets Joe Harts most lovingly ardent fan . . . if they could only find another 6 Joe Hart fans they'd form a monks circle and celebrate (with gusto and jerky knees) how wonderful it is to have the man with the golden quiff between the uprights!

PS. Only joking fellas - I know that Mr Nool isn't really Joe Hart!

PPS. And sorry for being jocular and for spelling mistakes et al.

Individual PL Errors Since Start 2012/2013
Joe Hart - 8
Ali Al-Habsi - 7
Adam Federici - 5
Michel Vorm - 5
Tim Krul - 5

Hart > Dea Gea + Lloris + Cech + Szczesny

Time for Panti, no question.

I think panti should get a run in the team, have thought this for a long while now. But it is not easy for pelligrini to 'drop' hart, there are other issues to consider.

He's just backing any player that we all see having poor form. He's doing it here, with Garcia and anyone else that has a bad run.

If I Didn't know him to be a due hard city supporter I'd swear he wants us to play any player out of form so we keep dropping points.

Can anyone tell me what Harts plan was if he got to the ball on Sunday? Seriously, all he could have done was handle the ball and get a red card. In the first half when the ball was rolling along the 6 yard box he stands glued to his line and does FA leaving Demichelis to clear it of a corner! His decision making is non existent. Time to ban FIFA 14 me thinks!

You're right, it's extremely ironic -Joe Hart takes an unauthorised mental holiday for 18+ months and costs Manchester City FC and it's loyal following 2 or perhaps 3 trophies and . . . . . . and I've made a spelling mistake.

Me and Joe - our situations are just sooo alike.

Is that in the running for sarcastic post of the season so far Coca? ;-)

FFS! I spell incorrectly all the time, I'm not even British. No need to compare yourself to an out of form goalkeeper.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
