Lightning might strike twice. Is that what your getting at?

It would need to strike 5 or 6 times at this rate for someone to hand us a title again.

imo, there are 4 teams, none of which is good enough to win the title: Arsenal, Chelsea, rags & us. One of them will become good enough to win the title. Nothing else matters, stats, history, nothing.

It's all to play for.

In my view Yaya's got off lightly in post match comment. With Silva and Fernandinho absent Yaya and Nasri had to step up. Neither of them did. I don't get Yaya sometimes. There are days when he strides forward dominating midfield irresistibly but on other days he looks slow ponderous and fucking lazy and the game passes him by. Cut it out you lazy fucker.

Demichelis marking is very bad, saw it against Chelsea and today he ran like a headless chicken to a player Milner

It's not even the turn of the year and we're already writing us off? Come on now, we will sort out this poor form and we'll start climbing the table and perhaps make the top spot, only time will tell

We play great at home. We go away, we play shit and lose; Pellegrini expresses how "incredible it is" that we lost. And repeat - 4 times now.

Like watching Brazil at home, and like watching Grange Hill (repeats) away.

We are a Cup side this year, nothing more. A classic "on our day" team. Its a good job the managers apparently a genius and the players like him; if that wasnt the case we'd be in the bottom half now.

Four trips to Sunderland now and 77 shots on goal - zero goals scored. That game today was like a really shit panto that always ends the same.

Adam Johnson is a bitch, doesn't have any integrity. He caught the ball in his hands and was playing again like nothing happened.

Fuck you referee

We were shit but - they should have had a player red carded after 10 mins and the ref missed a foul for their goal.
We had 14 corners, all shit as usual. The Rags scored with their first attack/corner.
Our corners totally depress me. Clueless. Silva and Nasri can't get it past the first defender and Kolarov balloons it over every fucker

Negredo is a decent header of ball, so is Dzeko. If for not of them reaches them then what the hell is use of 14 corners.

Can someone through light on whats our corner conversion ratio compared to other teams.

Dunno but we've been shit at them forever. I'm bored of it. My 7 year old crosses a ball with more focus and intent than half these cunts. I swear.

Best post out of all the shite we've been subjected to since yesterday.

6 points seperate the top 8 teams. 6 fucking points.

And some have already conceded the league, champions league, fa cup and league cup.

Forget the yaya thread, we need a "what does a city fan actually do these days?" thread.

The team showed us all last year that they are a bunch of bottle jobs and half the spine we had left with tevez, the other half is always injured these days.

I'd love to be wrong but i think our away form is going to cost us the league, if it hasn't already.

I do wish people would stop saying we have 27 games left as we don't; we actually have 26 as we still also have to go to Goodison Park which is an utter waste of time, as its another guaranteed 1-0 defeat.

City currently only have 36 games in which to score points, as even bothering turning up at Sunderland and Everton away is simply a wasted exercise.

We have lost 4 in the first 6 away games. In the 2nd half of the season we have to play away at Tottenham, Everton, Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton. Given Cardiff, Villa and Sunderland have proved too much for us - Chelsea weren't too much but we sportingly decided to give it to them anyway - talk of still being in the title race is a pipe dream. That's 6 aways that if we continue with our current formation and style away from home, we will lose at least 5 of them.

I swear Ive heard the same Pellegrini interview after all 4 away defeats. We learn absolutely nothing from past experience at the moment.

I can answer that one...
Watch game, go a shade of pink...maybe red
Buy cigarettes against better judgement
Have chocolate and sugary coffee
Smoke cigarette
Swear at radio
Buy more beer
Engage in football conversation with girlfriend who although means well...deep down doesnt give a shit about it
Totally scorch dinner and eat it at 11pm standing up and ruefully shaking head

But...today is a new day
Ive binned the cigs
No booze for a week
Pick the kids up from school
Wont scorch dinner
...and wont turn on the radio either

So on balance...I take the positives

You've summed up in your last sentence why I don't have much confidence in us right now and it's because Pellegrini does not appear to be taking on board the lessons from prior fixtures.

He should not find it 'incredible' that we lost yesterday. We were absolutely shite in the first half yesterday, and rarely threatened in the second half despite lots of possession. It was a dreadful performance and Sunderland worked their socks off to get a great result for them.

14 corners we had, 14 FFS!

Both defending and attacking corners is a massive weakness.

Regarding corners.
Always an outswinging corner hit hard aimed for the penalty spot. 3/4 players attack the ball and if connected no goalie will save resultant header unless it hits him. Corners used to be taken like this.

Am not strictly sure why it stopped because we sure as shit dont profit from short corners or dinked in to the near post. More often than not we dont even clear 1st defender ffs.

Set pieces are a good way of scoring and we had 14 of those on Sunday. How many looked like a goal?
