Might be quite a long wait.

Getting seriously fed up of the Hart bashing by the media now. They go on like his career is over and hes linked with moving here there and everywhere. ffs.. just because hes dropped for a few games. Panty should have saved that goal against Sunderland but I dont see him being slated left right and centre.

Heres hoping Hart has a reality check and gets back to his very best soon!

I notice that Petr Cech seems to be avoiding a media bashing despite two really bag ricks in recent weeks with the Sergio goal and the one on Saturday vs WBA. Funny how they pick and choose there targets. I guess him not being English saves him.

I also noticed the Panti bashing after the goal on Sunday? Cant believe the scrutiny he is under. Any other keeper concedes that goal and I guarantee nothing is said. Its a one on one and he has hit it with pace, sometimes you save them sometimes you don’t. The blame in that goal firmly lies with Demichaels and Milner IMO. Is Panti now expected to save everything and if he doesn’t he runs the risk of heavy criticism and the drop?

I didn't notice the bashing, from the meeja or fans? I agree that it wasn't a routine save but if Hart had conceded it we all know what the reaction would be.

Milner took a forearm to the back of the head, bit harsh to criticise him I think. I don't know what Rapunzel was doing.

His career at City is over. He has never been a world class keeper and now he has been found out. Most over-rated player we have had in recent times. He has had some decent games and some truly outstanding games but the reality is that he isn't a top keeper. This has been evident for the past 18 months. His strenght was shot stopping and even that aspect of his game has been poor for too long.

Isn't a top keeper? He has had rough year for sure but at his best he is genuinely world class.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

A genuine world class keeper can play football with his feet. Joe can not do this. I hate to say it but De Gea is miles better than Joe at this aspect of his game and you could say has now eclipsed him in every other aspect of his game.

I don’t really know how you improve on that area of your game, you can either distribute or you cant IMO. I don’t think its something he can now improve at 26 years of age.

Well that's my point. It's a dive. When you see the whole thing, it's nowhere near enough to knock him over, he just dives & hopes the ref sees the contact. It's just not on at all. It's becoming commonplace in football for people in defensive situations to take a dive like a striker, rather than defend the situation, & hope the ref bails them out. Kolarov is a major culprit for us & it seems to be Chelsea's main method of defending.

The secondary outrage of Demechelis running TOWARD Milner in the same instant is also completely, ridiculously shite. What the fuck was he going to do when he got there other than cause a disaster ?

It's diabolical from the pair of them imo, & worse than the Hart/Nastasic debacle.

I remember when we all used to laugh at De Gea. How times change.
But you're right, his distribution is nothing short of terrible. How many times does he catch the ball either from a cross or a shot and then rather than throw it out quickly to set us on the counter, he sits on it, rolls around for a bit, waits for any momentum to be lost before deciding to hoof it aimlessly up the pitch. Often straight out of play.

Sorry Ted, I'm not having that, Milner's not the type, he's as honest as the day is long. Bardsley holds his left arm and smacks him into the neck/head with his other arm, anyone running at full pelt is going to lose their balance in that situation.

Fully agree on Demichelis though.

You can see Milner's left leg give way. Not a fucking chance it was a dive.

Still fuming that Dean felt that there was no foul there, just like he did with the Garcia tackle. We were well worth a draw there and I feel Dean gave Sunderland all the leeway they needed to not only get a point, but to steal all 3 away from us.

I guess the whole keeper thing will come down to a combination of Panti's luck over the next few weeks and Joe's mental strength. Luck, because if Panti's unlucky he will be at fault for one and that'll make it easier for Pelligrini to drop him. Mental strength because there's a really sad precedent of good, if not even some great, keepers really going to pieces and never recovering. I guess we will have to wait to see if Hart really has the strength of character to get back to a performer who, at his previous best, would be a keeper virtually all PL teams would want.
Couple of people have mentioned De Gea and it's only a year ago that he was being dropped by Utd. He's bounced back and so I hope will Joe.
When I first used to go to City everyone in the media (as such there was) and many fans used to slag off big Joe Corrigan, for being error prone. He fought back and worked really hard and became an immense keeper. Hart is still relatively young for a keeper and I hope he can take inspiration from his namesake's experience to get back to be a deserving City and England number one.
