Things you never see these days

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Jubilee bags.
Five-boys chocolate
3d back on Corona bottles
That wasteland on the corner where you could always catch ladybirds and stuff (now every corner is built on)
Stanley-knife fights on the way to a game

I should say I still see paperboys and also Water Board vans with loudspeakers as our main is always blowing.

Yes. One app is for the Dutch public service teletext. The other one covers Swedish public service + the BBC Ceefax.
I jut love the teletext format. it gives me really quick access to results, tables and short news stories / headlines.

Sticky bobs is what we called them as kids. They grew on small plants and you threw them at each other and they stuck to your clothes.

I loved those things ..... That and pretending nettles were an enemy army and cutting them down with sticks for swords.

Obviously I gave that up when I was thirty.

You still wearing yours then? I thought they were banned?

Was Bianchi the first to wear a snood in the Premier League?

Camera panning to the bench where coach is puffing on a ciggy. Menotti was best. Camera panned to Menotti puffing on a ciggy...5 mins later...pans again...another on the go. Such a contradiction, players fit as a fiddle running around and the coach who makes or breaks them wheezing on a woodbine.

Just found couple of those in a flea market. My lad went bananas. Obviously still got their magic.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Nice memories; in spite of the haze and smokescreen surrounding him, I always thought Menotti was a fantastic Manager.

I used to think/daydream how good it would be if he were City's boss.

An England friendly where we actually play well and look like a coherent side instead of some reserve rags, dippers and Arse players who quite frankly are barely top4 Prem standard
