I love the optimism but I am one of the pessimists.Spurs have a good defence and they will base their game around it and a packed midfield.Without Silva we might struggle to find a way through and although they aren't scoring many goals we have a slight habit of helping teams out in that department.Whether a lucky one or not I can't see Spurs failing to score.

We should win and I obviously hope we will be I have a nasty feeling something horrible is going to happen.

Im with you on this Doug. Given our away form has been pish all season, the crutch of the home form is what we've been leaning on, but Spurs are a step up from the other Prem teams we've beaten at home and I don't see them leaving without something from sundays game; especially as 3 of our crown jewel 5 players wont be playing, namely Silva and Kompany injured, and Joe 50-50 at best to be selected.

There was a time not too long ago that we'd dread playing Spurs but these last few years have us turn the tables and it's them that dread seeing us turn up. We've won the last 3 games at home and our last 3 years games goes DWWWWL. I'd even put that loss at WHL down to our ebd of season misery as we'd given up all hope by then.

we are restricting Yaya there as Rodwell isnt disciplined enough to hold, has to be Fernandinho instead of Rodwell for me.

We need ferdy there to bail out yaya's lazy half hearted attempts at tracking back.

If Yaya does his typical 5 touches, then turns round and does another 5 touches before releasing the ball, we'll struggle to break down the defence. I was seriously impressed with Gerrard the other night. One touch move, get into position, made himself available a at every opportunity and got stuck in, wish our mid field would do that, the oppo might not be able to get all eleven players behind the ball then

I agree, with Silva absent, a lot depends on which Yaya turns up (and to some extent Nasri) ...

Aguero/Negredo should however produce something, unlike Sunderland first half ...

Can't wait for Sunday, it's already been too long we last saw City in action ...

I expect to see Micah, Kolarov, Panti, Yaya, Fernandinho (if fit) and Martin. everyone else, I have no idea...these internationals will have jet lagged Aguero, Navas, Negredo, and Dzeko.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

I think Everton are better and they absolutely failed in the 2nd half against us. Actually, when Kompany went off, Lescott handled Lukaku far better. Spurs are less of a threat going forward than they have been in recent seasons. 2-0, City.

Captain Vincent Kompany (thigh) remains on the sidelines for Manchester City.

Playmaker David Silva and striker Stevan Jovetic (calf) are also still sidelined but midfielder Fernandinho and defender Matija Nastasic have recovered from the knocks that ruled them out of the loss at Sunderland a fortnight ago.

Ok we really need a a number of wins in row now.We fuck up enough and now best team to start with is Spurs.

Not just a City fan but Premier League official account has also announced the change ...

@premierleague: Referee change: Howard Webb has been appointed referee for Man City v Spurs on Sunday 24 November #MCITOT

WTF? He's been given special instructions for this one?
