He seems to start matches rather slowly and make some mistake but improves his concentrations as the matches progress. You can see he is intelligent and has a lot of experience which he uses well.
I'm not sure if Micah was given the chance, he wouldn't have done just as well ??

I think he's done wonderfully well, all things considered, and has been a much-needed calming presence at the back. The one thing he could rein in a bit is his eagerness to attack the loose ball. Once or twice he's got it slightly wrong and been left well out of position as a result. He also looks like a ready-made, Dunneyesque own-goal candidate when defending low crosses at the near post!
I think what is important with Demichelis is that he's an on-field conduit for the footballing philosophy that Pellegrini is trying to get across. I like the idea of having an older fella out there who's on completely the same wavelength as the boss (like Hamann, Bellamy, Vieira and Pizarro in recent years). Perhaps this is something we missed last season. Just a thought.

We still need to shop for at least 1 new centre back in January. Lescott should be starting every week, but as long as Pellegrini picks Nastasic or Garcia ahead of him, then we'll always have problems as neither are good enough. Demichelis is better than either of those 2 at least.

Brilliant player.
(Waiting for the laughable 'he high fived Redknapp') remarks off certain posters.
Back to Dimechellis, Settled in nicely and doing well.

I didn't describe Bellamy as a 'calm head'.

Think we should buy more of these accomplished squad players who can do a job, particularly a ball winning midfielder who can come on when we are protecting a lead and play in a five man midfield.
