When a player for my team scores i want to see them celebrate. Like Tevez v rags in league cup. Perhaps not to the degree of Adebayor v Arsenal but nontheless i want to see them cheer. They left their previous club for whatever reason and they are now part of my club. When they score i want to see it matters to them, that they are part of my club. I dont give a fuck if it offends the opposition. Who cares. We are paying his wages now. Equally if a former player scores v us, Sturridge maybe, and he celebrates in front of the Kop fair play and good luck to him. He isnt part of my club anymore
A bug bear if mine & wondered if other posters feel as i do

As long as the celebration isn't a 'fuck you' eg Adebayor ,to the other club it's absolutely fine.

Unless we're talking about Emmanuel Adebayor, because that was hilarious.

thats a different kettle of fish, respect should be mutual, if the fans are giving ex players abuse, ALA BARTON and he scored, I wouldnt blame him for going bonkers if he scored against us.

I remember the Dickov one and it was a bit odd. Am I right in thinking they beat us 3-0 that day as well? We had some shocking performances and results at the end of the 03/04 season.

not 100% on the score but they did beat us. Yeah it was very odd the way he acted, maybe the south stand were giving him some verbal as thats the end he celebrated at.
