I would sub Ferna for Milner in half time to get more legs in midfield.

Jeeze that was a stroke of luck, I thought he was going to bury it.

Never thought I'd say this but, I'd bring Rodwell or Milner on for fernandinho.

This problem has been evident since pre-season and it astounds me that Pellegrini has done absolutely nothing about it.

Thankfully it's half time and a chance for Pelle to say some wise words to the lads.

Come on City we need to step it up!

I think we should change Navas for Milner as opposed to taking off a mid for a mid.

But overall the passing is off. Big improvements needed for the second half. Can't fault the effort, but the quality is lacking big time.

No half time pints for me. On the hard stuff after the game, as I have a cold.

We look complacent , casual passes giving away possession players jogging back from behind play when a move breaks down . I don't know if its a lack of respect for the opposition , overconfidence but I do know were lucky the Swans haven't scored . Really need to pick up the effort here .

We deffo need to step it up again or they will equalise. Dropping points today is simply unacceptable

41% possession at home ... incredible!

Swansea have been the best side by far to come to the Etihad (except Munich of course). We need to do better in the second half or we could be in trouble here, we are very lucky to be ahead.

Didnt Spurs also have a similar amount of possession in the first half too but much less affective up front?

I think the engineer has been tinkering - we seem to have surrendered possession for the last two games inorder to draw teams out a bit more.

If you're a neutral you'd probably be enjoying this but from a City pov then it's just not right. Swansea are a very busy, good passing side and if you give them enough time they'll pass it through to get a chance. We started off really well, pressing the ball and winning it back but after that initial period, and because it's knackering, we gave them too much time.

However, we are a goal up and apart from that crazy miss they've not done too much on goal apart from a few easy saves for Panti. We need to start building the play and pushing the ball around them. Most of these played on Thursday and if we get them chasing the ball we'll have a better chance of hurting them, rather than playing it like a game of basketball - you have a go then we'll have a go, everyone pegging it back to their own half.

Positives - we're winning and currently sitting in 2nd.

Negatives - in only takes a second to be sat in 5th and 2 seconds to be sat on the same points as the Rags.

Come on City!!!

Talk about sucking up to father in law.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

We did the same against scum as well. The difference is that Swansea can actually pass the ball around and crate some danger.
I also think that we pressed much better against them and Spurs, and thus were able to create more counters.
