With regard to organising a football team, to my mind it's a relatively easier task to get the defence sorted and for the side to play in a methodical and disciplined manner, than it is to create a free-flowing attacking style bursting with flair and goal scoring creativity.
Pellegrini seems to have quickly and adroitly addressed the attacking aspect with a veritable magician's wand.
However, in order to tighten up the defensive aspect, in might be necessary to make changes to our now developing system. On a personal level, I would hope that any such changes didn't impact adversely on the attacking aspect, for which it would seem we are now getting some (grudging ??) recognition and praise from the media.
I'd be happy enough if the unfortunate defensive mistakes which we've made this season could be eradicated but, if push were to come to shove, I'd accept us having a somewhat suspect defence, if only to ensure we retained the devastating attacking style which, if left unchecked, could go on to terrorise the rest of the League and win us the title.
If this means that we lose a few games and win a lot, then so be it.
