I'm sooooooooooooooo surprised by this line-up. Talk about an anti climax
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

He gets the start because he scored 3 goals in 2 matches vs West Brom last season, let's see how well he does today.

Glad Kompany is playing, he'll have his work cut out with MD next to him.

It could be worse. Arsenal are starting with Bendtner !!

I was one of Dzeko's biggest critics when he first came but now I seem to like him more than most do.
Still imo, our best striker in the air and if he plays well he can offer us something.
Most importantly, he knows where the onion bag is.

Let's hope so anyway.

Guessing Pellegrini thinks Negredo needs a rest and Dzeko needs a boost.Plenty good enough to win if we play well.Need to start sharp

Due to heavy traffic in the West Bromwich area, #westbromvcity will now kick-off at 8:15pm.

Let's hope he gets stuck in and not a lazy dis-interested performance. We need to get at them right from the start, and keep at it until they are done.

Great to have Kompany back in the team again.

I really hope Dzeko takes his hand out of his ass and puts in a performance tonight.I know he managed to get on the score sheet but his effort against Swansea was a disgrace.

So seeing as Demichelis is in, despite being right-footed, Lescott is essentially fourth choice centre back? That's ridiculous.

You really think Lescott is a better footballer than Demichelis? Or is it that he is better suited for left side of CB. I personally would rather a better footballer in Demichelis.

spot on. They need to play to Dzeko's strengths though. The Negredo / Dzeko argument is not just about Negredo alone, the effect he has in partnering Aguero is a major factor in Negredo as no1 choice over the bosnian.
To be fair to Dzeko he cannot be looked at to emulate Negredo's role. We have to play to Dzeko's strength in the air as well.

Yeah i really think Lescott is better than Demichelis.

Lescott is the second best defender at the club, and the best in the air at the club. Lescott's passing is totally fine and in the past couple of games its been exceptional.

Demichelis has done OK but consistently makes little errors in games.
