Someone made the point the other day about demichelis coming into no mans land to win the ball, and he failed badly on .sunday at it. kompany won those balls today, but it still doesn't mask the problem, that those sorts of challenges shouldn't fall to the defenders if the team was organised well in midfield

Kompany was very sharp tonight - especially given that he can't be match fit. We've missed him for ages but his return after absence is good news for us as he'll be as fresh as a daisy for the hard spell of games we have coming up. . . and we need that in our defence.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Not fully match fit for certain but the quality was there. If he stays fit now for the season it improves our chances of the title a lot.

Showed he can play on the left tonight too. As he spent half the game there covering behind the invisible men.

He really is world class. Completely different looking side with him.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Kompanys class has never been in question. We need to have him fit now for the rest of the season; if so we can win stuff, if not we are in trouble again.

Still need a top class centre half in Jan as priority 1 and 1A.

Couldn't agree more, Skipper was absolutrely awesome last night, strong in the tackle, quick on the foot and even quicker between the ears. I feel a run of good fortune for us.
