This news just in, Garcia is substandard. As he was last week, and the week before, and the last 15 months he's been here. You cannot polish a turd.

Not his fault, the effort is there but hes completely unsuited to the Prem League. Sadly the biggest mystery is why Pellegrini insists on giving him time on the field.

His shoddy clearance led to the first Wba goal, whilst Demichelis's piss slow defending caused the second so Garcia wasn't solely to blame, but you need a good memory to recall positive impacts he's made, either from the bench or when starting. Yes there's been the odd one - Stoke Away in the Cup last Jan - but even a blind squirrel finds the odd acorn.

My mate Demichelis though, however classy on the ball, made a whole loaf of bread out there defensively! Maybe we should be playing him instead of Garcia and Lescott at left CB?

I would like to see Demichelis given 20 mins in the black hole in front of our defence, to see if he closes down the yawning chasms of space & time there. Garcia is useless at it, but it could be that the Kamikaze charges out of position with which Demichelis frightens the shit out of me regularly at centre back, actually close the space down perfectly in def mid.

Well worth a go as an experiment, in a game we are 'comfortable' imo.

We need to find another option for the times in champs lg games where it goes pear shaped, I recon.

I think he's too slow for the role. When our pressing game up top breaks down and we're faced with classy quick passing opponents like Bayern our slow centre backs are horribly exposed. The full backs are stranded upfield trotting back in their own sweet time, Yaya looks as you once said 50. That leaves Fernadinho on his own trying to break things up. I think we need to buy a centre back with some pace. I would also prefer our full backs to be more piston like. When one is haring up on the overlap, the other holds his position to provide extra cover in case the attack breaks down.

I like players who we sign that I dont know too much about to be able to prove to me on the pitch what their value is. I know little about Fernandinho and Garcia when they arrived, however, 1 has really grown on me to the point where I would say he is a definite starter if fit and the other should concentrate on driving the bus. They both started with a level playing field but there is a gulf in class IMO.

I'm obviously not English, but it was a sad sight to see Hart, Micah, Joleon, Rodwell and Milner sitting on the bench with not 1 Englishman on the field (until later of course).
Apparently they busied themselves by throwing chewing gum at someone in front ??

Garcia has no positional sense, he is like a cork floating around in the middle of the Atlantic, lost and aimless. Why does pelligrini stick with him? Clearly there are better alternatives.

Scapegoat for what?

Give over, the guy is just fucking shite.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Pants wasn't at fault for either goal - both due to defensive fuck ups and not a hint of hart style flapping from him all evening. You should open your peepers and note the correlation between Hart being benched and our assault on the title picking up pace again as the goalkeeping fuck ups suddenly diminished.
Drop Pants and we'll have the rags sat above us again in no time at all - I don't want that but you can take your pick.

PS. I should add that we'd be top of the league and top of our CL group already if Hart had been benched all season as he cost us at least 9 points in the PL and at least 1 point in the CL (while gifting an extra 2 point to our chief CL group rival).
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

I am clinging onto a little hope that we can just write this chaps season off starting now and that what ever the Count see's in him comes shining through next season. Maybe unlike Nasri he needs no love and at the moment needs thrashing with a bushel of twigs!

That sounds a very rural solution Blue.

Pants missed another near post cross which then led to the ball unluckily hitting him from a shite Kolarov clearance and going into the net for baggies first goal . That is 2 or 3 near post crosses that have beaten Pants recently ...... open your peepers ! Pants has done a sterling job for us recently but he has to do better in those situations ........ but we are shite at the back most of the time.

Garcia is fucking shite btw there is no hiding place for him im afraid .
