We'll lose by 4 or 5 goals to Argentina.

Both Nigeria and Iran are beatable, now pretty much the entire squad plays outside the country and are less (if at all) prone to bribes.

lol England and America fucked. America especially fucked. USA might only get a win vs Ghana to avenge last time. Personally, I think it would be wonderful for Mario to get a hat trick vs England as a big fuck off to the British press.

About the 99% humidity - growing up in the DC area and living down south gets you pretty familiar with ridiculous levels of humidity and heat. We used to have preseason 2-a-day sessions in August w/ 100% humidity and 100F (~38C). Not fun at all. You can get used to it, but you are just dripping with sweat all the time. Looks like you've jumped in a pool. And when the humidity is really bad, all you have to do is sit on the front porch to work up a good sweat. Dehydration is a serious risk when you're sweating so much and getting dizzy/spotty vision isn't too uncommon during more intense workouts. England better get used to it quick.

I can see Ivory Coast having a good go if Yaya, Drogba, and a few others step up. They got an easier group to do so. Belgium also has a surprisingly easy group. Would love for Vincent to make his mark with a great performance/run in a WC. He deserves it.

Gambling conservatively, I'd only put money on England to get through Group H out of those, and even then only in second place.

Utterly doomed.

France saved and u pay the price.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Who truly gives a serious fuck about England or the US tho?

England to get 4 pts from that group I bet. Will they have the balls to sack Hodgson tho when he does that? Surely they'll have to. Prepare the brown envelopes please!

Not happy with this group!
Uruguay will be too strong, if we can get anything from them it will be a bonus. Could all rest on the Italy game. They're better than us for sure but they're not unbeatable and the weather/ conditions will be somewhat of a leveller.

I'd fancy us to beat Uruguay - who qualified via the play-off round - before the Italians.

England should be aiming to get five points. We'll need to tough it out against Italy and Uruguay but Hodgson's got previous for grinding out draws in important games. If we've got two points going into the final game against the costarricenses, a win against them would almost certainly send us through.

Which is the toughest of the three?

Worst Australian squad we've taken to WC, a squad in transition. Can't see us going anywhere.

Pressures off with that draw.

Few expect us to qualify and all Hodgson needs to do to keep his job is beat Costa Rica. Losing to Italy and Uruguay will simply be greeted with acceptance that they are better than us, which they both are.

Tbh I think Roy got a draw that suits him. England team wise, as we arent going to get anywhere near winning the thing we may as well have a go. That first game in the humidity of the north has 1-0 Italy win written all over it as they will retain the ball all day and have us chasing around like headless chickens until we conk out - now where have I seen that before?
