For me, there's no chance in hell unless he hand picks somebody to do the day-to-day and he'll be there in an advisory roll only. Maybe that somebody could be his son or something but now Moyes has ripped out all of Taggarts backroom staff then I can't see it even being a consideration.

Lets now say the rags nosedive and lose 4 or 5 on the spin and carry on plummeting down table. When the next derby comes around if rags lose Gollum gets sacked. He is replaced by someone more talented, exerienced and manages to turn round the season and all is good at the swamp again.

The question is would anyone take a one off defeat, want it even, if its means the demise of rags for 3/4 more years or would you want to spank them on their own patch but have them turn round the mess they are in and remain clise challengers.
Inconceivable to want a rag win i know but an interesting proposition thats not too far fetched

I can't see the rags turning it around even with a new manager. I just think they need to sign to many players and after the last transfer window where they were turned down by at least 7 players, the swamp isn't as attractive as it was to class players, so they are stuck with England internationals such as Welbeck, Cleverly and Young.
I mean what's happened to this Saha who got and England cap as soon as he signed for the scum and was supposed to be amazing, yet doesn't get a game. Another great signing like Fellani.

Id settle for the red dipper model. Every season a big "gonna be our year, back where we belong" PR smokescreen then the football starts and reality sets in...moyes wont be able to stick that out...too much money at stake for them to let him rebuild over 3-5 years. As for not beating them every time we play them thats just unthinkable. The derby should be a footballing versionof a cat playing with a mouse for as long as possible...we had it from them for long enough its time to keep our foot on the throat.

I can't work on hypotheticals ... by the time next derby comes (in PL at least, not counting any cup draws) there won't be any time for their season to be turned around ... but the way we are going we might need those three points to save ours ...

My point is we should worry about our games and our season and our manager ... would you be happy over next 4-5 years coming 2nd or 3rd or 4th in the league because it's above them, while Chelsea or Arsenal or someone else wins it?

Let's leave mid and bottom half of the table teams where they are and worry about our end, shall we?
