Weird that , as the BBC reported that the A*se extended their lead at the top !
Can't see how, as Scouse 2 won yesterday, Scouse 1 drew with the A*se ,Chelsea lost and City drew.
Or were the BBC referring to A*se's main rivals, the rags ? That might make sense.

Before the weekend they were 4 points ahead of Chelsea in second.
They are now 5 points ahead of Liverpool in second.
Therefore the lead has been extended.

Yes, Chelsea, but they could have reported that it is closer now at the top and after next weekend it will be closer still !
Tesl wrote:
.... but its not actually closer, what they reported is completely correct. They are further in the lead now than they were before.
Their draw was still a good result for us though, and yes hopefully after next weekend things will start getting very close indeed!

How much of Moyes's stamp is still left on the team`? How much of their current streak would you attribute to Martinez? Any info from anyone who's watched them would at least a bit regurarly be appreciated.

They've gone from a team you switch away from MOTD to avoid to a team you make an effort to watch. Martinez is quality, nothing less. Moyes, well, that's another story.

The interesting thing re Martinez, is that he has taken over a team without 'star' players, many of whom were schooled in longball, fouly, set piece, shite football, & instantly got them passing like a European team.
Tbf, Moyes has made an effort in recent years to get Everton playing more football (& get himself the rags job) but what Martinez has done, is another level entirely. He has only been there a few months but he's just taken an Everton side to the Emirates & totally dicked Arsenal off the pitch at football for 40 mins. If he'd had a couple of top forwards, Arsenal would have been fucked. when Delodoodah came on 2nd half, they caused Arsenal nightmares.
He wiped the floor with Mancini at football on the day, at our place last season, almost causing him to have a nervous breakdown, & now he's done it to Wenger for 40 mins solid. Wenger could barely handle shaking his hand after the game; it hurt.
Very very impressive. Needs to show he can be consistent though & not just hot for bits of a season then lose loads.
No use playing nice football & being relegated, like Wigan.
