Hmmmmm. I can remember at this stage of Vassell's first season people laying into me for calling him the "empty vassell" when we signed him. I will stick to my guns thank you.

It's time...after tonight, Hughes must go. We can't defend, and have been consistently bad for three months. At the front, we need to score two or three just to stay in games.

Regardless of what players we have out, with the money spent, Hughes must sure be able to work with the quality avaiable, which is what he has purchased to a large part. Tonight renders the game against Chelsea null and void... Now 3 nil as I type.

No fucking shape or balance in the team tonight. Disgraceful from a tactical point of view.

Personally I never would of entrusted Hughes to spend a penny more after last season so it's more fool the board for doing it. They're now getting their just rewards for backing probably one of the worst managers tactically we've ever had. Blackburn fans warned us he was clueless in that department and so has it proved. I just want to see some closure from his disastrous reign now and move on with someone else. Mourinho would be absolutely ideal but I'm not sure he'll leave Inter mid-season - can you imagine the welcome he'd be given by City fans going on how we treated Sven? Messiah wouldn't be the word. We definitely need a lift as a club from the dark depression which Hughes has brought.

Ive always advocated giving Hughes a chance to prove himself. Last season he had the formation and tactics pretty much bob on as the season progressed, but not the personel.

Now hes got a world class squad, he's changed the tactics completely, ruined all the good work from last season and we are getting worse. Tonight the players looked like strangers. No shape, no balance, no idea.

1 win in 10. Says it all. He's writing his epitath.

Time to see who else is out there to see us through untill the summer when im sure we will be looking to bring in the special one. Hiddink untlll the summer?

That tonight was the culmination of, bar chelsea, a pathetic run of performances. And its unacceptable with the money we have spent and the players we have.

Hughes seemingly cannot get big time players to perform consistantly.

Thats it in a nutshell for me. They've got to take some of the blame but they haven't turned shite overnight.

NDJ gets booked cant play next game so our manager subs him for Petrov.Ok whats wrong with that you ask i will tell you Wiley would not have sent himself off tonight let alone 1 of the players just look at what Palacios got away with. Our manager is fucked in the head big time but for NDJ Spuds would have run right through us.So our tactical genius brings on the only guy in British football who who wont tackle his own shadow and takes off a guy that would run through a brick wall to get to the ball GO FIGURE.

We were 2-0 down and swapping a defensive midfielder for an attacking one - the kind of substitution you should be making. If you want to pick him up for anything then ask why Petrov wasn't playing in the first place.

Sums up my opinion.

I was one of the ones saying give Hughes time.. but our defence has been shit for months and tonight despite having Tevez, Ade and Robinho up front we did fuck all. Redknapp would of got more out of our team tonight and that says it all. 1 league win in 10.. we will never get top 4 with Hughes.
