WE DIDN'T FUCK UP. We beat Bayern away.

Yet Sky has muffled the result and created a BS distraction. When the media produces rubbish, some of you can't wait to open your gob as wide as possible and gulp it all down FFS

No guarantee we'd have scored again whoever we brought on. Pointless distraction from a brilliant result.

This is also true. Quality result very proud, but slightly soured by a massive missed opportunity.

Exactly.

Just ask yourself: Would this be the main media talking point if the rags just got this result???

The answer should be obvious.

He said he was tempted to put Aguero on to go for a fourth goal, he was tempted to go for a fourth goal. THAT WAS HIS MEANING IN THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERVIEW EXPRESSED IN RELATIVELY POOR ENGLISH.

He never said that mate. He said Aguero was warming up and had we got a forth he would have sent him on. He also said it was too risky leaving silva on when we needed to more goals.

He was asked directly if he was tempted to go for a fourth goal when it was 3-2, he said he was tempted to have Aguero warming up. The rest is people like you filling the blanks in.

Exactly ... stop blaming Sky for it ... Pellegrini fucked it up big time!

I am fuming ... it's even worse than when cricket teams don't know their Duckworth/Lewis pars and fuck up ... hell this is a very simple 2+2=4 kind of math here ...

FFS!

Indeed. I heard it that way & so did they. He said it would be hard to score two goals; what two goals would they be? If he'd said four, then that would've made sense. If he'd said one more, then I disagree if Negredo's chance is anything to go by, but fine that kind of makes sense. His English seemed pretty good to me in the rest of the interview, so I reckon he's got his one to ten licked by now.

It terms of the win, of course it wasn't a fuck up, but you have missed my point about him not understanding the situation, he fucked up there big time.

Shocking tbh.

I would have thought someone would have briefed him on what was needed. He seemed convinced that we needed another 2 goals to win the group.Hence why he wouldn't risk Aguero.

Still a great victory though

MANAGER REACTION - Bayern Munich 2-3 Man City
Manuel Pellegrini on whether he was tempted to bring on Sergio Aguero: "I was tempted if we scored the fourth goal, that is why I sent him to warm-up.

Sorry. Cannot for the life of me work out why, after this result of epic proportions, people are complaining. Yes, IF we had got a 4th we would have won group but come on. Look at the stats. Bayern are immense. They won 7-0 away at weekend. They had won last 11 champs league games. Unbeaten in 30 odd Bundesliga games winning virtually all of them. This is a massive win for us. Sit back, crack open a cold one and bask in the glory. This is what it feels like to be City. Fuckin brilliant tonight

Come on mate, that interview is pretty damning. It is as clear as day what he is saying. He even alluded to the fact if we got another goal he would have sent Aguero on.

"I was tempted [to send Aguero on] if we scored a fourth goal..."

how about the rest of the quote?

"But I think it was a risk to continue with David Silva, he could not play more than 70 minutes. It was important to be top of group but not the most important thing. We scored two goals and Silva had to come off after 70 minutes."

Whatever way you want to look at what was said the fact was that at 3-2 and on 73 mins we took off a midfielder (Silva) and brought on a striker (Negredo) so the attacking intent was there. Underlined when Negredo so nearly got the fourth after he mugged Dante and Neuer made an excellent save.

On a separate note it's hilarious that right now the BBC sport website shows a picture of Joe Hart conceding under the banner of Champions league live and the picture on our report shows the other goal.

BBC Sport bunch of fucking clowns, the same BBC Sport that gave George Best of all people a lifetime achievement award. I've make a point of missing every SPotY since. Fucking clowns

Mental the amount of people who think that it's alright for City's management team to not do their preparation properly and that it makes you negative and anti-city if you think that it's shocking behaviour.

Great result, great performance but not a great outcome - we didn't finish the job cos the players weren't told that there was a job to do. That's very, very poor.
