One of the most ridiculous threads I've ever ever seen on here. Mongoloid Corner it should be called.

I hope some of you had had a few too many jars last night and look back on this later today and realise you made yourselves look like silly cunts....

What a result and performance. Beat the European Champions at home, coming back from 2 goals down....with our fucking reserves.

The fact that this thread even exists is absurd

I'll ask you on the draw date later this week, who we get and who Bayern get ...

We might get Barca or whoever motherfucker and then might even knock them out next round ... but issue is fucking not knowing and at this level if you haven't done such a simple homework, what the fuck have you done then ...

You obviously have an obsession with the media who are employed to appeal to the masses(the rag faithful).I tend to avoid it myself. The bias towards our club is apparent for all to see.Just enjoy the win mate it was a truly great European night in Citys history.

And to add to tonight's fun, in our next game we can add Kompany, Yaya, Aguero, Nasri and Negredo (from the start). Who the fuck will fancy playing us?

A truly horrendous mistake. The players and management should have had a full list of every possible result that would have seen us through. The analysts and statisticians should have prepared this, but the players and managers should have known themselves. It wouldn't have mattered if we had gone for the result and had drawn as we would have still finished second. Once we got to 3-2, our aim should have been to make it 4-2.

HOWEVER...we should be extremely proud of our efforts tonight. It was a fantastic performance. We turned over the best team in the world, on their own turf, after going 2-0 down. Even with the fuck-up, we should all be delighted. We have finally set a marker down in Europe, increased our UEFA coefficient during these group stages, and are set to play one of the best sides in the world in the next round. We have wanted this for years, and now we are finally here!

Now just to sort out the league form...

Just listened to the interview and Pellgrini says, and I quote: "I was tempted if we scored the fourth goal".

Now, this definite article "the" is important. It shows he knows which goal he was talking about, the one to send us top. So clearly he knew. What he is saying is that having got the fourth goal, he would then have thought about bringing Aguero on, probably to hit bayern on the break.

Even if he doesn't bring Aguero on, it is a fact that the team that were out there scored three. Who was to say the same players couldn't score a fourth? They made the best chance of the last 15 minutes and very nearly did it, as it happens.

Six pages of cry-babies making a mountain out of something that isn't even a molehill. I expect snide little digs from sky and the bbc but not from other quarters.

There is no way I'm reading 7 pages on this bullshit, its very sad.

I think they probably didn't realise that 4-2 was enough to go through. As "amateur" of a mistake as that might have been, I've no doubt they were concentrating far harder on the match itself and just hadn't thought the situation through.

Given that we beat the reigning champions, at home, having come from 2 goals behind makes that mistake forgivable for me. Shit happens.

If there was ever an event needed to demonstrate how some people will NEVER be happy, regardless of circumstances, this was it. Some of you are total asshats and need to take a good look at yourselves. I don't even like the CL and would rather do better in the PL every time, but this was a great result for us and should give the team real confidence.

I agree that the players and management team were concentrating on the match, but you can't seriously be suggesting that not one person at the whole club did not think this through? If they didn't, then it's quite a big fuck-up.

To be clear though, for me, it doesn't detract from what is a fantastic result. After the way Bayern tore us apart in the first match, to respond like this is a great achievement, and should serve us well going into another key game this Saturday.

But in the interests of continuous improvement, and to really push our club forward, we have to cut out silly mistakes like not knowing which results would send us top of the group. I'm sure we'll learn from this and we'll make sure it won't happen again.

I would be interested in a comment or two from one of the many who travelled to the game, spending a lot of money so close to Xmas to go and support the lads , then find out someone at the club could not be arsed to brief the manager on exactly what we were playing for.

The performance by the team was brilliant, the lack of preparation by the Club is embarrassing.

We've beaten Bayern on their own patch. That coupled with our home form should give the players the belief that they can beat anyone. So if we'd have finished top it would have given us an easier tie in the next round but in the grander scheme of things we're gonna have to beat some decent sides eventually to progress anyway.

Having turned around what I really thought was goin to be a demolition act after the first ten minutes against the current best team in Europe, the Count could have done his after match presser in his birthday suit while fucking a smal shetland pony for all I care.

We fielded a weaker team and still somehow managed to turn things around. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

Asked in match thread, who are we set to meet in the next round or will tonight decide that?

...you forget "them" . "They" (scraped through) to top their group - we finished second in ours ; now what we need is a kind draw and a visit to our bunnies up the road at the chamber of nightmares, to pile on more pain and humiliation. I had a (wet) dream about this about three weeks ago ; 1-2 to us after "another insipid united performance" as the commentator put it. Sorry, can't tell you the scorers.

(. . . Mustn't overdo it though - don't want to jeopardise Agent Moyes' fine work this early into his mission. )
