How about we put 4 past the league leaders AFTER Augero left injured?

In shock. That was an incredible display of attacking potency.

Arsenal played some great football going forward but it's kinda irrelevant cos we're just too fucking good. A ridiculously deadly mix of strength, technical ability, flair, pace and team work. It's glorious.

I can't believe we have the honour of watching this.

Gutted that Kun is injured.

6 goals with the best striker in the league injured and playing only half a game. A few things today to nit pick at if you wanted to but wow are we good to watch. Maybe we got the odd break in the match but I think we deserved the win anyway if not by 3 goals.Arsenal are are good team aren't they and it baffles me how they didn't beat utd at the swamp.

Great match. Fern was fantastic and Im glad he got his goals.

We will have to wait to hear the Aguero news. I hope its just that he didnt fully warm up after the halftime and not anything too serious.

As great as the win was, there were definitely some troubling signs from our defense. Poor passing, getting beat with balls over the top.

When we turn it on we play well but when we shut off momentarily we ship in goals and look poor. We need to be consistent across an entire match.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Yes indeed I can't stop smiling i really can't. What a great game today, I don't care about the goals we let in because we could have scored when ever we wanted today. A six pack in the leaders....I'm still smiling.

Yeah a bit worrying we conceded 3 at home but who gives a fuck (at least today) we scored 6 !!
Great match, great City display only 3 points off the pace ! Hope CP does one on Chelski today to make it a perfect weekend.

Arsenal fans are in meltdown mode after that, blaming the officials and what not.

This puts us in a great position momentum wise as it's going to be a hectic few weeks, it's just a pity we lost Aguero. Hopefully it's just a twinge.

Still a few defensive worries and I don't trust Demichelis one bit but we can't be too greedy, that's 16 goals scored in three games against the scum, Arsenal and Spurs. Can't argue with that!

Yes we got 6 and that is fantastic. But pelligrini said himself he was not happy with some of the defending today. Not trying to take from a great result but there's still work to be done with this team, and we can't get caught up and loose sight of that.

I love reading the Beebs football page after a game.

1451: AS IT STANDS

Manchester City's win takes them up from fourth to second position, although that could change with third-placed Chelsea at home to Crystal Palace later on.

Despite being thrashed, humiliated and comprehensively beaten, Arsenal remain three points clear at the top of the table.

If it comes down to goal difference at the end of the campaign, as Manchester City's title victory did two seasons ago, then the other sides are going to have to record some huge wins to match Manuel Pellegrini's men.

After today's landslide, Manchester City's goal difference at home is +30. Away from home it is -1.

If they get it right on the road, and maybe beating Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena might be the kick-start they need, the rest of the Premier League are in a world of trouble.

1436: Join the debate at #bbcfootball

Joseph: Arsenal are well beaten.

Ijaz: Well done Man City. Now go for the title.

PG1888: Arsenal massively frustrating to watch today. City clinical but lucky. Officials terrible.
