This Weeks Other Games - 14 & 15 Dec 13

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Liverpool have been really impressive in this game and look great. Suarez is the best player in the league right now, and probably by a margin too.

This is the first time I've watched them this year and started to think they really do have a great chance at finishing in the top 4. If they finish 4th at Utd's expense I'd be so happy.

Or Everton for that matter if they can manage it.

This has been an awesome season so far.

That red card looked intentional to me, after his foot had already gone up high it basically twisted to direct into Suarez's chest. Really stupid thing to do. Correct decision.

Going to have to be at our best when red scouse come to town. Suarez will love coming up against our dodgy defence.

Coutinho is quality but would frustrate the fuck out of me if I were a dipper fan. So careless at times.

I think it's a great result, because (a) Spurs are dire & (b) Liverpool will now think they can give us a game, as Tyler put it. We'll smash em of course, because this ain't WHL.

Spurs absolutely fallen apart. They were outplayed anyway the whole game but have been terrible the last 20 minute or so, it could have been more than 5.

I'm not sure AVB will survive this one, pressure on him will be massive now. Their GD is -6 ffs after 16 games! Even Utd's is much better than that.

Liverpool have been excellent though, it wont be a walk in the park when we play them.

Probably my favourite moment of this match was Suarez beating two men, passing to Coutinho who blazes the ball over the bar. Countinho then looks back at Suarez disappointedly as if to say "Well what did you expect me to do??"

By end of January we'll be 5 clear. The rest can fight for scraps. Spuds & Saints will fall back. Will both hopefully finish higher than rags though. As will Everton, Newcastle and dippers.

That was the worst Spurs performance for well 2 weeks! Looking forward to playing the dippers. If we play our best we'll win but they're a decent side.

And yet when we played Spurs, at home, we got Glen Hoddle.

Strange isn't it ? But not intentional, of course, no no. Not one second of thought went into the choice of pundits on either game. It was purely down to coincidence & who was available on the day.

1 game at a time. The game v Liverpool will be a hell of a battle but first we have to overcome a rejuvenated Fulham away.

A stuffing at Everton i would not call rejuvenated. This is a game we should win. The dippers however will be a damned hard game which we will do well to win. I back us to win though if only due to home advantage. Would take a draw though. I am usually pessimistic as far as City goes as i've seen plenty of false dawns but i just think we are hitting our straps now and will go on and win the title. We have the best first eleven, the best squad and a manager who is learning very quickly about English football.

I wouldn't take a draw at home against anyone. I think we are more likely to drop points away to Fulham than we are at home to Liverpool as well, as impressive as they were yesterday.

In the last 7 games of the season, we have Everton, Arsenal and Liverpool away, it is imperative that we win these home games as well as build a lead, so we had better get that away form sorted pronto.

Take a draw against Liverpool!! Behave. Since Jol left Fulham have started to work hard and have played quite well despite the actual results and at Everton it was 3 quite late goals that made the scoreline look emphatic.Fulham will be as hard as the Liverpool game.
